Old timers reunion raid - Saturday 09/24 - Moonlight, Misfitz, Victorem, Venatus, Decibel, DiE, etc

ON Saturday September 24th around 8pm, we're going to try and get together for an old timer's raid.

You're welcome if you meet one of the following conditions:
1. You were once a member of the Moonlight Crew, Misfitz, Victorem, Venatus, Decibel, Alacrity, DiE or allied guilds.
2. You were (or are still) friendly with one of the above.
3. You were an opponent of one of the above and re-rolled to AD since.
4. You have fond memories of Sarenvog swearing at.... anything.

The requirements for the raid are:
1. You have available to consume, and do so regularly, vast quantities of alcohol.
2. Exceptions to the above will be made on a case by case basis.
3. Your gear is all (or at least almost all) Impen.
4. You can appreciate titty sprinkles.

For those who haven't been playing for a while, here's what I've learned in the past three weeks of playing a bit (four raids of about a dozen people, and a few hours solo):
2. There's a lot less lag - I know right? Only took them two years and most of the original player base quitting to partially fix!
3. You should probably go stam - magicka build damage seems to be a lot less.
4. There's a HUGE difference between Azuras (no CP campaign) and Trueflame (CP campaign), we'll probably play the CP campaign as we're all out of practice and need all the buffs we can get.
5. You will need to redo your champion points, and your skills/morphs. Plan on spending an hour or two reading up on things and getting set up.

If you need to redo / make gear or need help figuring out CP allocations and morphs, log in a few hours early.

If you have a free guild slot, catch me online or send me a mail in-game, and I'll invite you to Resilient. It was once a great PvP teaching/training guild, though these days is pretty much a guild bank. If there's anything you want from said guild bank, let me know and I'll pass it to you. Most of what's in there are PvP reward mails from the day after the TG patch where we tried to (and probably did) set a record (1.6 million AP in 10 hours) with the new AP numbers. If you're not very active in-game, we can use this to keep in touch for when any of us happen to be online.

Our old TS: pvp.ninja is still running, though we're using Discord these days to keep in touch. Download the client from https://discord.gg then use the invite code 2tU28bs to join the server. You can also use the web client, though it's nowhere near as if you download the client: https://discord.gg/2tU28bs. Most of us are using Discord to plan communicate for other games as well.

Disclaimer: By joining this event, you accept that we're probably going to be very out of practice, wipe a lot, and play drinking games. This is more a social event than a serious raid.

It would be funny if on our first foray out into the wilds we all died to a VD bomb. Most of the folks who I hope will come back to play for the night have probably never seen VD (outside of their own genitalia).

I think even if I did get anyone to come back for a night they'd be disappointed in being low CP. Will see what I can do though. I will stream it, though there will be no video of actual people drinking.

I'm still an officer in DiE guild here in ESO as I have never been able to bring myself to leave even if it is a dead guild and stay in touch with the boys as that's was my tag from Warhammer Online through a bunch of games until the guild folded here. A number of the core Oceanics who've been together since WAR (Moon, Kane, Markor, Cliffeh, Miggo, Bido, Aelith, Cuddlepie, Marxed and some others) are playing BDO. Some of us are still in ESO and are as you say in KHole (Kieryan, Me, Daisy, Xiphy, Luh, Maverick, and Rarein), with others like Josh Warren, Kaiz, Ara, and Synapsis (as well as others I am forgetting) doing other stuff and then the Havoc guys who split off after the EP reroll doing as I understand it Havoc things in BDO and those still on EP here in Haxus.

The Oceanic crew will, most likely reunite for CU - but then that seems still to be a long way away. I pop into DiE TS from time to time with them and they seem to be enjoying BDO although I personally couldn't handle such an awful grindy game so made my way back to ESO relatively quickly. dieguild.com.au is still the active website for DiE if you want to get in touch with Moon.

BTW, if peoples ITT are going to drink, might I recommend tater tots? I hear from reliable sources it really helps with the hang overs next morning. Would recommend to anyone that participates to grab a bag and consume these the day of this event.

If you'd like a healthier version, we've been doing this for a few years:

1. Cut sweet potatoes into tater tot sized pieces, and add them to a large zip-lock bag until about half the bag is full. If you don't have a bag, you can use a large bowl (but that messes up the potential ogling of steps 3/4).
2. Add some olive oil to the bag or bowl.
3. If you have a girlfriend or wife and she's well-endowed, get her to do this part as it's fun to watch: shake the bag side to side while jumping up and down so that the potato pieces are all lightly covered in oil. Alternatively you can just toss them in the bowl (less fun to watch).
4. Add four parts of kosher salt to 1 part each of ground pepper and garlic powder (some people also add a tablespoon of paprika) and mix/toss/shake to get good coverage.
5. Bake at 450 degrees F for about 20 minutes.
6. Let cool for about 5-10 minutes.

Whatever you don't eat are awesome when added to a fry pan the next morning with eggs and bacon (very tasty hash browns) or can be micro-waved whenever.

That works too. Really any starchy food is pretty top tier stuff on the stomach when alcohol is involved. I will have to try that myself, hash browns are pretty nice side dish for morning meals. Plus..well yeah tater tots that are cooked never heat up well sadly always is depressing to eat a sad and lumpy tater tot
