Simple question, have you completed vma?

No, I only run in 1st person and it's too damned hard

I run 1st person exlusively and have got to stuck. So I was wondering who had run what. I am especially interested in who has run it is 1st person and completed it.

Oh and for full disclosure I am running a heavy armour stam sorc (tanky) in purples with 400CP and can make it to 4th round boss so far.

I've done it in first person. Only causes real issues on Stage 7 (poison bulbs).

Going to run it with 0CP eventually as well just haven't gotten around to it with some gear farming I've been doing! Focused on soloing Vet dungeons atm too, specifically vWGT.

More fun than vMA. Most things are once you grind it 150+ times

I run a stamina DK, a five piece Night mothers gaze and five piece Archers mind (All divines), two piece Hunding's (dual daggers) giving me 90% crit chance and only made it as far has the third stage.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Most people tell me I have to be at the CP cap (531) to even stand a chance in vMSA. I'm only CP 424 but I don't feel like up for more level grinding

No, but only because I got to round 9 on my Sorcerer, but I'm not comfortable with them, so I'm getting another Magplar up to snuff before doing it again.

I have a really bad ping, and while vMA is not super hard to do with a little experience a bad ping can allow mobs to one shot you without reason, i will try again when it will be a faceroll experience ( + 30-60 CP from now)

I got through the normal mode once, it was pretty boring, not much story there. I don't really care about the weapons so it doesn't have much to offer me. Same goes for dungeons, I might do them once for the story but that's it. I rarely run the same content more than once because I get really bored and just have to do something else. I guess I don't really get the point of PvE.

Tried it for the first time today went well until I got to the ice stage my reflexes just aren't good enough for all the stuff being thrown there at once I didn't want to spend half my saturday doing that. CC every damn second as a mage you can only break free once! I hated that stage on normal I need to make some more stuff and try again I guess...

Not doing it for the weapons all that much, a run per battle-ready char, weapons are nothing but a pleasant surprise if those are actually good.

Doing it mostly on DK (stam or mag), tho I must say stam DK gives you a feeling of being Usain bolt on steroids.

Just a few:

- If you are familiar with 3rd person, I highly recommend running it until you can pretty much go flawless like that. THEN transition into 1st person
- Do not clutter your screen with too many effects or it'll be too hard to see
- Watch out for hazards on the ground, which are far more difficult to see in first person. Most dangerous ground hazards are the poison bulbs on Stage 7.

Not sure what else..... you are playing the same content I am, but simply from 1st person. Just be aware of everything that is going on.

@Vaoh I haven't run 3rd person since pc beta... I'm likely to be very rusty. Basically sounds like I just need to put more work in and probably grind some gold tempers.... god I hate gearing up.

Yeah pretty much. lol

It's very difficult content. The absolute toughest solo content in ESO, besides going out of your way to solo group content.

You will find it gets significantly easier with lots of experience!

Maelstrom weapons are not BIS IMO, they just look cool. There're way better glyphs then maelstrom enchants.

Oh my bad, I'm speaking from a nightblades perspective, maelstrom enchants are weak and not BIS, Why?
My surprise attack applies major fracture and can be animation cancelled, so no use for flurry.
Ambush gives me empower and is way better in pvp, so no use for crit rush.

When i use dw, i run 1 mace sharpened and 1 mace charged, on my sharpened mace, i use a weapon damage enchant and on my charged mace, i use a disease enchant for the minor defile.

When i use 2h/bow, i do the same thing, 1 charged bow with a disease enchant and 1 sharpened mace with a weapon damage enchant.

Maelstrom weapons are useless for a nightblade and you have way more build options when 1 tamriel drops. @Asmael

No, because I wasn't interested in it. But one of my characters is in the middle stages right now and I'm sure will beat it eventually. Hopefully before October, as I won't have time to spend hours in Maelstrom when uni starts.

Coming from a person who's beaten it on all classes, and has all of the stamina-based weapons in both precise and sharpened — VMA is a very critical element to ESO. It helps you become a better player, and the weapons it supplies boosts your overall damage astronomically. Even the restoration staves are amazing for magicka builds, and the destruction staves are rivaled by none. If you haven't beaten VMA, and begun farming it for weapons? I'd highly advise you begin promptly.

However, be warned... You will probably get very irritated, and frustrated. Whether it be from: Relatively difficult mechanics being learned, bugs, lag, etc. But, just keep at it, and after a few runs — you'll zip through it no problem.
