Get more materials and tempers returned when deconstructing gear we created

I have been playing ESO for over 2 yrs and have accumulated quite a bit gear and weapons I have created myself. I do all my own crafting and never have to buy materials. I get my materials and tempers by putting in a lot of effort and time, which I do not mind at all. When I create a max level piece of gear be it light, med or heavy or a weapon, it takes over 100 of my materials and when improved to legendary a good amount of gold tempers to get it maxed out.

I have many of these pieces of gear and weapons but some of them are of no longer any use or interest to me. I cant sell these items and have no use for them on another toon, they just sit there in my bank because they still have value in their materials/tempers. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to deconstruct these and get at least a 1/3 of your materials back and a few gold tempers.

Are any of you in this same situation. I'm curious what others might think about an idea like this and if it sounds "fair"

You spend 1 style material and 1 trait material when making an item with a trait, and that can get refunded at least half the time. You get a decent amount of the metal/cloth/leather/wood back when you deconstruct, probably akin to 1/4 of what you used to make it, generally on average. Quality materials you get only one back when you get it back, which also is usually half the time, and normally that's enough, particularly for green and blue which you no doubt have plenty of anyway. Purple is another story but it should at least be SOMEWHAT rare. Gold though... well let me put it this way:

WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DECONSTRUCT A GOLD ITEM?!?!?! Unless it's loot with a trash trait or something then by all means go for it lol

I imagine we're all going to when the eventual gear cap raise comes. And if we were to get more than one back it would certainly soften the blow that some of us are dreading in starting completely over.

I've deconstructed a Gold CP 160 item before. I was a PvP player so had pretty much given up on the idea of getting Monster Masks. But then the 'Golden Vendor' was added, and then I became a major PvE player which meant I could get access to Monster Set pieces.

Never Craft items for Shoulder or Head pieces if other slots are Available. Ever.

Lmfao! Sir, he said he was "ballin" (aka has a lot of money ;) - im gonna guess you knew that but I wanted to be a snarky whipper snapper lmao)

Oh slang... AT least he didn't say he was, "on the downlow" (which the real phrases' meaning most people don't know and cracks me up when they use it.... seriously look it up on the slang dictionary, bet you'll be surprised)

Oh come on. Ballin' has become mainstream ever since 2pac, way back in the 90's.
