pick a class for me

Being way too much of an over-thinker than the experimenting type, I'd like to get some help from the community. I am looking for classes and builds that fit my play style, one for PVE and one for PVP.
Here's how I play:
  • clumsy. bar swapping in order to get a buff or debuff should happen only for special occasions.
  • not very mobile. Circle strafe is hard, asking me to jump while doing so is too much.
  • DPS. Some staying power is fine, but I don't know the major dungeon fights well enough to be a tank.
  • I like melee 2H > DW > S+B, but all are acceptable
  • I am a newb in PVP. Keep it simple and let me grow.
  • Sneaking up and stun-locking are complex maneuvers.
  • Steady self-healing > needing a heal button

Templar that's probably the best starter class and great for people that can't decide on what class they wanna be its a very versatile class its almost impossible to build a bad Templar. Templars have the best heals, great sustained DPS, they can be amazing Tanks.

I also play on PC from time to time but I just wanna be left alone on there so sorry.

Oh. I have played a nightblade, a dragon knight and a sorcerer well into CP territory in PVE. I just can't make up my mind how to continue. Templar's been the least attractive so far.

    I would say stam dk.
    For PVP:
S&B: you would get your main damage just weaving light attack, ransack, bash. Ideally vigor would get unlocked and be on this bar as well so your healing button doesn't need a weapon swap. Before it is unlocked you could use dragon blood. You also could put your gap closer and igneous shield for better heals on this bar, along with a reflect.
Backbar 2H: rally on this bar for a 30sec (I think?) buff, venomous claw (a dot to put on the enemy), shuffle (20sec+ buff to help avoid damage), and some flex spots.

That way you would mostly hang out on your front sword and shield bar. They are definitely tanky but can put out some good dps in PVP. Great for 1v1s and group play.

    For PVE:
2h or dw front bar for damage
Bow for backbar: just for buffs, poison injection to put up to help with damage and executing, and one dot from endless hail to keep up on mobs.

Since you mentioned you're not into circling enemies, I would avoid templars tbh. I would also avoid going a 2h stamsorc as you will NEED to use dizzying swing then and use it well (usually involves back strafing/side stepping).

    Nice insights. Thank you.

I've been experimenting on my stamina sorcerer and like the amount of time I keep standing. Critical Surge is such a wonderful buff.

A Redguard Templar in my opinion would be the best opinon for you. With what you have listed here.
