How/where do I read the full notification messages?

Several times a day I get those cut off messages about a guild mate or friend who have "completed [something] with a score of...", and to se the actual score apparently I have to go to the leaderboards and look for him/her. (I never do)

Today my ESO+ ran out, and I received a notification that seems to have at least some importance to me...



"All crafting materials stored in your bank and inventory have been..." what? Where do I read the full message?

Usually if you roll over it the full message will show. In the case of the guild motto change above the craft bag notification, you can roll over the little paper icon by the x.

For the motd, sure. For any other messages, no, it doesn't. Never has. Ever.

Nothing happens when I mouse over that message... nor is it clickable in any way.
And on the "Your guild mate completed..." I just get a link to the leaderboards (most of the time), but still have to look for the actual name and score, which is kinda hopeless when I don't even know which char he or she used.

Actually I just recreated the message about the crafting bag........ yours appears to be missing the end.

Yes, it is. I know I can hack it by scaling down the UI, but I like the default size, and font size, and being able to read the text on my screen. And I shouldn't have to change settings to read messages ingame. *sigh*

I have altered nothing on the UI, I use no addons and have changed literally nothing. ........

I do play windowed fullscreen though, could that be it?

Edit:- I just got a vMoL completion notification in and hovering over it gave me the player names

Yea, but your resolution is probably higher than 1920.
I never see the scores. Hovering gives me the @name, but not which name to look for in the leaderboards.

Playing windowed full screen doesn't show a resolution ingame, the box is blank.

But my resolution in my windows settings is 1680 x 1050

I am using a very old monitor.

Edit:- because I am curious about this I swapped my setting to Full screen and the resolution stated the same as above 1680 x 1050, my crafting bag message still showed in full. I wonder why yours doesn't??
