I wanted to make a poll to see if No Stamina Regeneration while Sprinting should stay or should it go.

I was going to include a Pros and Cons list but i couldn't really think of any Pro's to keep this change. In my opinion there are ton's of Con's.


I personally think it should go. It makes sprinting at any time a terrible thing to do when your enemy can just gap close you. You gain no ground while loosing out on stamina regeneration... but your pursuer can just gap close you, dealing damage while still recovering stamina at the same time. So whats the point of Sprint?

I think the whole Sprint, Stop, Recover stamina, Repeat scenario is so lame. Were literally Warriors built for Battle but we can't sprint for 10 seconds even in Medium Armour. It's not even Sprinting in some cases, more like jogging. What gives?

I mean sure, i could use Dark Stride i think its called and reduce sprint cost by 50% but its just not practical. Your basically building around to sprint and do nothing else.

This is not a buff stamina thread. Magicka Sorcerers used to be amazing at Kiting and sprinting using Boundless Storm but because of this change they can't really do that as effectively. The Streak nerf was one thing but this change makes kiting even harder for a Magicka Sorcerer. You can't even re-position on a magicka dk because you just can't afford the stamina to do so.

    The wording of your poll is very ambiguous. Needs moar punctuation. That way I can actually tell.

    If you put stamina regen back in during sprinting, then elusive mist and streak also can't have a resource penalty. Not something that we need, or everyone will just run run run.

    EDIT: rereading it, it's actually only slightly ambiguous.

    No stamina regeneration while sprinting hurts everyone. Not just stamina users.

    Have you seen Streakers (no pun intended) and Mist Form users use Spell Symmetry (Equilibrium) before? Pretty much infinite magicka if you use it correctly. So these penalty's are a none issue in my opinion.

    Streak was nerfed for obvious reasons. It was very easy for a Sorc to spam this thing 10 times and get out of any scenario easily. You still can do so if you wanted to and recover with Spell Symmetry. Also remember Roll Dodge has its penalty still. Sprinting is not comparable. Magicka Sorcerers used to sprint all the time with Boundless Storm just as much as any stamina user.

    Elusive Mist is a little bit different but in both cases with either ability, if you had the chance to sprint and not loose stamina regeneration as a magicka class you would want that. It benefits everyone's ability to kite and survive.

    This change just makes re-positioning put you at a disadvantage in my opinion.

    Stamina builds don't need any more advantage than they already have.

    This change just hurts everyone. I'm all in favor of nerfing Velidrith, Viper, Incap and Dawnbreaker to even the score with Magicka Builds.

    No stamina regeneration while sprinting just makes the game slow and not enjoy-able. Your always waiting to regenerate stamina on almost every build in game to move around while in combat.

    This is one of the reasons why stamina sorcerers are so powerful right now, they can always spam Dark Deal while sprinting around the map since Magicka still regenerates while sprinting. They have an endless supply of stamina to run around compared to pretty much every other build in the game. Magicka Nightblades are the only build that even comes close to Stamina Sorcerers because they can run around very fast without the need to use sprint.

    Again, im all in favor of nerfing this stamina meta everyone complains about but i'm just trying to bring back what made PvP fun...and that was the ability to sprint without getting punished on your stamina returns so harshly. Movement is what made PvP fun. Why do only 2 spec's get this Luxury? Thats what im trying to change. :)

    it is more logical to get stamina regen while crouching :smiley: so why cant have regen while doing this? this isnt much fatiguing like sprint
