So I've recently become Champion lvl 80 and would like to express my opinion on the game it self. Now I know I'm not Champion lvl MAX or 160, but I think I have gotten the grasp of the game, exploring all parts it currently offers including a lot of the DLC. Don't get me wrong, I love this game and started playing in the beta. Here is my experience on things.
What's good:
- Quests are quite fun and engaging
- The main story is very, very entertaining
- The map is very large and diverse
- Dungeons are long and can turn to be a very fun events, mostly with friends
- The community is kind and talkative, mostly in PVP areas
- Overall the game is hours upon hours of killing fun
- Some quests give you options that can lead to different results
What's bad:
- PVP is a stun-lock fest
- If you are above lvl50 but below Champion lvl (let's say) 250 give up on PVP, its death o-clock, and your only hope is to mooch XP and etc. off of other people who can actually kill loads of stuff
- Owning a keep is stale, unless it's constantly attacked
- Some of the DLC, such as Imperial City, is meant for the high level people
- Being friends with a lower level person leaves for little interaction between each other
- Some 3-star bosses are truly 1-star and vice versa
- Some quests fake the appearance of having options, but result the same anyways
- No real motive to join a Guild except for Guild Banks and/or numbers in PVP, if you are within PVP level
The Potential:
- The world could be more open and seem less linear
- Mounts and pets should be more available to people who don't have deep pockets, either through quests or etc.
- Guilds could mean so much more and be very fun to be in and share with people
- Cyrodiil can be A LOT of fun (If you don't die every time you see an opposing player)
- Dungeons could be more grand, as in amount of people and rewards
- Imperial City bosses could be a lot more fun, if you weren't killed by an opposing player who snuck behind you and stun locked you, then ran away at the sign of opposition, only to come back in the same manner.
I know a lot of this is promised to be fixed in the One Tamriel update, but until I see it fixed I plan on keeping them listed here, and/or add anything else I catch or feel I haven't mentioned on either of the three sections. Again I want to reiterate that I love this game with a true burning passion but do see problems and untapped potential.
