Motif Hunting/Farming

There's been a lot of negative posts recently about the amount of motifs in the game and the amount of time it takes to collect them all. Am I the only one that actually enjoys farming for motifs? I make a reasonable amount of gold selling any extras that I have, but for the most part I just enjoy being able to craft what I like in whatever style I like. Am I the only one that thinks that way?

You can’t please everyone, imho the more motifs, mounts etc. the better. Even the ugly ones are needed to let the cool ones flash :).

I used to like motif hunting when all motifs were full books, I don't enjoy hunting for pages that requires me to do daily quests or kill world/delve bosses over and over again.

I enjoy collecting the motifs however I don't like grinding and due to the number of motifs added recently and how grindy quite a few of them are because of the drop rates is why I feel negative about them.

How I usually collect the motifs is to do the content until I get to between 7 & 10 of the chapters (depending on how they're obtained), If I get a duplicate I'll swap it or sell it and then buy one I don't have. At that point between I then swap to mainly buying them from the guild traders.

This method isn't working for the new ones because the drop rate is so low I've had enough of doing the content to get them, and there are too many left and the cost of them too high (and I don't see the cost going down much for some of them as people will stop doing it so they'll always be in short supply on the traders) for me to want to buy them.

Case in point, the minotaur and order of the hour motifs. I'm not sure how many times I've done these dailies (quite a few) and I've got 3 minotaur chapters and no order of the hour chapters. With malacath you could group up and get 6 chances at one of the 14 chapters (the drop rate seemed about 1/3 to me), for these 2 you can only get 2 chances at one of the 28 chapters and the drop rate seems lower.

I am getting there with the other motifs I've got left to get, just over half way on akaviri & abahs watch and just under half way on dro-m'athra & dark brotherhood so maybe I will feel a bit more positive about it when I've got a few more or maybe when I've got 3 more motifs to try and get with the next update I'll feel even further away from collecting them all

I dont go out to specifically hunt motifs (except for the alliance ones), I see it as more of a bonus for doing stuff I would anyway, but I do enjoy having lots of different styles available to craft gear in.

They need to go back to the single book motif method, I'm over doing kvatch dailies on 7 characters daily for an abysmal chance at a motif

Or they should just increase the drop rate...

But I am starting to think that the drop rate is low on purpose to give an incentive for buying the Crown Store version. :/
