the ammount of styles in ESO is ridiculously high, and almost useless - feature suggestion

can we - crafters - have a way or a feature to change the apparel of a specific looted item's style?
bind on pickup and bind on equip (well, anything not crafted) have a specific style that cannot be changed once looted

maybe a new tab on crafting window that changes the style of the item without affecting its stats would come in handy?
there is ALOT of styles, let there be ALOT of uses for them!

97 % of players already agree with this.

And the amount of threads about this issue on the forums makes is about damn time that ZOS allows us a style change option.

97% players of what, that thread? ESO has millions subbed, that doesnt even make up a 1%
Though I do like the idea of restyling, maybe not retrait

A restyling option would be great. A lot of sets won't get used by people because of their looks.

Ehm ... I am quite aware that the amount of votes isn't representative of anything. Yet it's the only poll of its kind that I've come across on these forums. And I see 2 more threads being started just these past 24 hours, asking for restyles.

Also I can't really think of anyone not being for restyling items, since it is only a cosmetic issue, and since it would of course requiring you already knowing the motif you want to make it into.

PS: restyling into Imperial doesn't work for monster sets nor dropped sets. Already tried that.

I dont think anyone would be against this. It would be downright silly to be against it.

      lol..
"eso have player base of millions"
      you are so delusional
ask zenimax to release data on how many players played atleast 1 hour last month, then we can talk about those "millions"
the playerbase in ESO is so low that the merges have started ( one tamriel ) and cross faction grouping became a feature, because you could spend over 30 minutes to find group for a pledge

back to topic, such feature will be useful for all players regarding how many they are
dont like that feature? dont use it

      Don't give them ideas =(

Such a feature should really only require ingame knowledge of motifs as well as style stones, not any crown store purchases at all.

I never really paid attention to this but, isn't the loot drop consistent with the race and class of the mob dropping it? If so it might be lore breaking to be given a choice on pick up.

No, I don't think it is. At least not for the overland drops.

No it doesn't. You cannot convert monster sets nor dropped sets, meaning it's pretty much useless.

1.You should never be able to convert monster sets.. They would be pointless other wise as the name kind of gives it away *monster*

2.i said *most* not all so please read before you jump on your High horse

        So calm down

But either way the option is there already, just only for one style, they would just have to tweak it so other styles apply the same way.

Lol, are you simple minded? You say Imperial edition will allow you to convert 'most things' into Imperial, then disregard that all monster sets and all dropped sets aren't included in 'most things'. Do you even think it's viable to have a build with no dropped set nor monster set?

So having that imperial edition is utterly and completely useless. If I wanted Imperial on my crafted gear don't you think I'd have friggin made it in imperial already.

I was pointing out there's already a thing that can be used to change styles.

Most not all ....lol and I'm simple minded ...wow haha

Monster sets will never have an option to be converted as they are tide to the bosses lol you must be 12 or something.

        100% agree!
Especially considering that the new dlc introduces a lot of sets... And all of them are only available in the old basic styles. many of the dropped sets are better than crafted ones, so it makes having all the fancy motifs useless.
There shouldnt be a choice between wearing ugly mismatched basic motifs with good stats and something fancy with bad stats.

This could be something that could tie in with the research feature in the crafting menu.
So by researching an armor piece you could turn it into any style available to your crafter, but it would take weeks to finish it.

Or it could requre a special item which would be very dificult to optain in-game, but with the option to buy it in the crown store.

        Not to ruin your logic....
But if eso did not have those numbers " millions" ( at least 1) they will have shout down the servers long ago.
One Tamriel IS a feature, if you spend over 30 minutes to find a group you are probably a DD.

What we need is a transmogrify option for all gear not just non-crafted gear. As long as you have taken the time or resources to learn the style then it should be an option I would think. There is a few games out there that handle this quite nicely and it really is a nice little feature that adds a lot of enjoyment to the game.

i think how swtor do their system is pretty awesome ... take the 7 slots we have in eso equip our gear that we want for stats

then have an appearance tap ... where any looted gear crafted etc etc can be placed into that tab and that appearance tab will overwrite the equipped tab ... so it would sort of be like a custom costume slot ... i however cant see this happening eso make alot of $$ from costumes ... but it would be a freaking awsome feature i love the look and styles of the low lvl stuff but can ever use it cus well i aint low lvl
