Tamriel Thunder Storms

Im genuinely curious. Why is it that every single time it rains in game, its a thunder storm? Why cant it just be a normal downpour for a change. For some reason on my tv the thunder is incredibly booming and loud. Id kind of apreciate seeing and listening to a good rain storm without my speakers trying to blow up.

More weather effects would be nice . I'd like to see fog roll in once in a while . Normal soft rain like you said OP . Gusty windy weather and maybe the occasional twister like in Marrorwind .

Lore wise The thunderstorms belong to Sheogorath. He likes the rain and he likes the thunder. On those nights that it thunders No other daedra can be summoned because those nights belong to Sheogorath.
Basically When it thunders Sheogorath might be summoned instead of whoever your trying to summon hense what happens in the book Wabbajack. Which is possible, since stormy weather might interfer with daedric summons because those were given to Sheogorath allowing him to be summoned anytime there is a rainstorm basically.
It talks about this in the lore book Invocation of Azura somewhat.

Ah, I remember when I first started playing ESO, all that time running around Glenumbra and having a mini heart attack every time I heard a clap of thunder. It certainly kept me on my toes! Good times!
