The Mage's Tower Quest issue

So I started the quest, went into AA, killed the mage, and now my quest says to 'Return to Mindil the Untested'. No quest marker popped up so I google him and found out he is in Vulkehl Guard so I went to him and nothing. No way to finish the quest.
Any ideas?
