Using Android App to use Smartphone as a Controller?

Is that ok, did anyone ever tried that?
I was hoping to use an android app and bind keys to my smartphone and use it via Wifi and have it working as a gamepad. There are some apps that could do that.
Ofc, that would be for farming and questing only, easy stuff, no way i could run a DG or PVP with that, but did anyone ever try?
