Researching Traits

I think I have this right but please will someone confirm.

As im levelling im trying to keep the researching going. The only way you do this is by ‘breaking’ a item you have acquired for research purposes. This is what ive been doing.

However, at present I cant research anything as I have nothing acquired that breaks into any of the traits I have to research.

How do keep my research going?

Ask a crafter to make traited items for you. Or buy them your guild stores.

If you have a decent amount, you can also find someone to "trade" traits with. You craft them a trait they need, they craft you a trait you need. It was quite common back in the day...

What are you researching? If you're lucky you can find them on drops off bad guys. Otherwiae buying from guild traders is easy. Don't spend much if you can help if. Like others said if you have someone who crafts and can trade you gear that works.

Join a guild most will help you research , I'm just about to research my last item in 4 days , it's a pain but so worth it in the end

Im researching anything woodwork and clothier, whatever becomes available.

Im also researching blacksmith but haven't put any skills into that yet. Just deconning.
