can somone confirm wether this activates on using spell absorb? im not sure because while certain sets such as the one that does irresistable damage against damage shields procs on me i couldnt get the artillery helm set from pts to activate on it yet its considered a damage shield while in pvp?

Are you talking about the s&b skill? For permafrost to proc it needs to be an actual damage shield: hardened ward, harness magicka, the damage shield enchants, frost heavy attacks, igneous shield, etc...

I'm assuming you were talking about shieldbreaker when you mentioned procs of irresistible damage on you. Is it possible you also had a damage shield up like igneous (even if a dk cast it near you and you got it) or one that's similarly tiny in comparison to a sorc's ward?

i was 1v1 a dps in IC when i noticed he had it and it was procing and no i didnt use any of those
it was in fact the sb skill.......if it isnt a damage shield WHY DOES IT GET HIT BY THE PVP DEBUFF

the visual you get on your health bar is also that of a damage shield

Hmmm...how often was it proccing? It's possible it was an irresistible damage enchantment and not shieldbreaker. I'll put on permafrost later today when I have time and test it with a few things for you.

The enchantment would be used by the enemy that was doing damage. If you got hit every second (every light attack) with irresistible damage, then I'm guessing there is a glitch/bug that I don't know about with absorb magic. However, if it was more like every five seconds, then it was probably the enchantment that does irresistible damage.

Also no, permafrost will not proc off defensive posture from the 1h&s line.

it was not the enchant either cause the enchant doesnt make a unique sound like the armor set

then if its not considered a damage shield the devs shouldn't hit the skill with the cyrodil damage shield debuff
