I like hybrids, check out @JackDaniell on Twitch or on YouTube @ Kristofer ESO.

They're not viable for elite PvE trails etc but so much fun to play in PvP.

I want to make a pvp sorc hybrid, but every time I start theory crafting, I find no reason to use any sorc magicka skills for damage. My streak would hit a little harder is basically all the benefit I'd get.

Hybrids have shifted from Magic Stamina Mix to all one Resource, but now a mix of Regen, Cost Reduction, Pool Size and Damage. Lower Damage to increase Regen or Reduce Costs are about as much a Hybrid Choice as we have.

@Erock25 Try thinking hardened ward, crystal frags proc (does it proc off hurricane/boundless ticks?), mines and liquid lightning. You can do knock backs into mines, use ward to cover a dark conversion, and weapon attacks. Mind I haven't done a complete build around it... nows the time to test one on pts tho ;)

Hybrid will imo never be optimal for top performance of Raids.
There the group organises her hybrid effect by the right composition of classic stacking specialists.

But for solo/duo and for PVP: I see a trend going to more Hybrid

I did not check all new Monster sets

But most of the damage I saw does only scale from the CP tree (and ofc crit and ofc damage/heal buffs)
The same with damage from Red Mountain etc
    Is this a trend ?

If there would be more and more competitive damage & heal that only scales from the CP tree,
If the cap of the CP tree is getting higher to something like a 800-1000 CP
(because of build diversity I would not like CP's higher than 1200 or so)

The DPS/HPS increase from classic stacking becomes relatively less important,
and Hybrid builds become more important (at max CP)

Further pressure on the costs will make using both stat pools even more beneficial and Hybrids more viable beyond the utilities.

We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. Actually, I mostly see Mutagen in the nTrials runs.

Especially OP when you consider it has a tendency to never hit the right targets.

In the process of creating a hybrid, PvP based though, for PvE they won't put out enough damage. watch this space.

The problem with ward for me is pelinal does nothing for it.

Devs say a lot of things. Like TG and DB would be in 2 months after Craglorn in same format as fighters and mage guild,No VR rank increases, they would remove VR in a three stage process (They just didn't say stage three would be implemented after they raised the VR 3 more times lol).,murk mire lol, spellcrafting lol.

Trainee apparently only comes in the training trait once this update goes live.

Jewelery and weapons dont. And since Pelinals is crafted You'll need to wear Trainee in jewelery and/or weapons. Also i think all sets now will drop in every trait except impenetrable in PvE.

Does the Jewelery only come in healthy? Or am I mistaken, hopefully I'm wrong as I had ideas for this set too.

Really? That would deem the set useless, cp160 set with training... Logic.

Pts testers say the drops come only in training.

When you complete quests you get a piece, they say the pieces earned from completing quests can come in other traits.

Honestly the penetration and crit sets, as well as the one that gives Max Stam plus Stam regen when using a drink buff (If it works with the Max Magic/Magic Recovery recipe that's coming out during the witching festival) seem the best to me. the Penetration helm and the one that passively grants minor berserk also seem pretty nice.
