The new ults will offer Magicka players more "choice" to run a 2H build.

Well, here was my last communication with him, on Sunday, before they put him back in the Disney Vault:

    C4DNcwm.jpg

The video, along with chat replay, can be found here:
    https://www.twitch.tv/bethesda/v/87621568
He starts answering questions about 1 hour into the video.

    My next question would be...

"It was immediately obvious to the players that you made several stamina ultimates vastly superior and the destro one vastly inferior. Why don't you stop making the imbalance worse while you procrastinate, for no a good reason, on making it better? The proper thing to do isn't always written on the calendar."

I would probably never get a question answered again but enough is enough, now is not the time to be buddies, its time to tell the truth and get things done. I'm tired of seeing friends leave the game or leave the class they love because its broken.

On the DB pts people made a big deal about block cost being decoupled from heavy armor. Then suddenly wrobel showed some calculations that included block frames. In the past each block consumed stamina, now we have block frames and stamina is only consumed once per frame no matter how many hits occur.

Does anyone know if block frames were made up on the spot and added to the pts? Did it ever work that way before? I just thought it was weird that blocking suddenly worked a different way in the middle of the pts amid the uproar. It just showed up quietly in the calculations with no announcement.

I believe the concept of block frames always existed. I say this because when I was a sap tank during the glory days of 1.4/1.5 there were a couple of times where I was permablocking an extremely large amount of players and my stamina was being drained at the same rate as it was with a large group of players. There was a point where the stamina drain from blocking seemed to cap out when you had a ridiculous amount of players beating on you.

I remember people using the two shadow images from NB (forget the name) specifically to drain blocking. I remember myself using force shock to drain it too with the same belief in mind. I never tested it though, but I remember shadow image being a thing. Maybe that was before 1.4?

Yeah shadow image and caltrops were a thing, I don't know for sure but it 'felt' like if you reached 10+ different things hitting you per second the stamina drain seemed to cap out. Otherwise even though siphoning attacks was OP, I don't think I would of been able to hold block forever like I was.

    Edit:

Here is a clip of an old guildy as emperor at console launch. He's perma blocking so many people that his sound is distorted lol yet his stamina is draining at the same rate. This is from after 2.0 but I'm pretty sure it has always been like this.

All I know is that as long as Wrobel is still employed we can't expect to see magic get any better.
Maybe he has a magicka alt planned for Q1 2017?

    Fixed that for you
