Calling all members of the ESO forum mages guild for a meeting.

Salutations fellow mages, spell warriors, battle mages, enchanters, healers and everything in between. I have called you here for a referendum on our current situation with the Destro staff and Resto staff ult on the PTR. We were all so excited for them to be released but lately after seeing what's in store for us, so many of us have felt a little disappointed. The Destro staff ult leaves a lot to be desired and feels sloppily made and the Resto staff feels anti-climatic.

So, with that being said, I think it is safe to assume that for our DPS'ers meteor remains the end-all be-all DPS ult and will remain so while as for healers, I hear so many of you are saying, "meh" to the resto staff ult and forsaking it for what you were already using. So, in conclusion the question is: In the two ultimates current state will you be using them? Yay OR Nay?

I'm a bit excited for the destro ult, but that may only be because i have not had the pleasure of unlocking meteor yet.

Does anyone know what the morphs for the restro staff are? The un morphed version looks pretty lackluster.

Healing ult, single target, I'd still use my templar ult If ever really had a reason.

Destruction staff needs a utility effect for both morphs and base skill with cost reduced.

Healing staff ultimate seems okay, it's nice for that single target buffer at a cheap cost, but seems silly for a restoration staff ability to say "yourself or him/her" instead of "and". I think it should affect at least two people.

If you're not using mainly Warhorn, Nova when needed and occasionally barrier & meteor you're not a healer in my book.
And really why use the destro ult over meteor/ standard of might, honest question there's literally no point.

The unmorphed Ultimate is a ground target cast overtime that, after the duration ends only does at least 4,000 damage. So lets imagine this in PvP. You're up against someone, you cast this at them, and just as it hits them with the first tick, then dodge roll out of the Aoe and suddenly your Ultimate is a giant waste. Good job, you just wasted 250 Ultimate to damage them for a couple hundred points.

It only gets somewhat better when you morph it to the one that targets you instead and moves wherever you go. Even then it seems like a waste, though could maybe be useful as a deterrence against Stamina builds that prefer to get up close.

I think the issue is that must of us werent looking for ANOTHER aoe spell. We wanted utility or even a powerful single target spell...pr even something that at least wont be hard to aim.

In this form all we are getting is something that will be replaced with meteor when you get it.

Yeah the destro ult is poop. Needs buffed and buffed hard, but I doubt they will.

I saw a screen shot that had the destro ult dealing 7355 ish dmg per sec, in PvP that's 3600ish per sec. Post armor, roughly 2k dps?

Im not under or overwhelmed by it. Prob use in PvE on a back bar when I solo dungeons

I saw somethin' more like 4 K, and that was the total damage.

I was really hoping that the restoration staff ultimate would add group utility somehow. Buffs for the group, for example, or even better, a way to restore resources (especially stamina). But only one morph does any buffs, and warhorn still seems it will be a lot better for my ultimate slot.

I was already expecting to be disappointed by the destruction staff ultimate, so not really a surprise there.

So I will stick to the ultimates I have already unlocked, and call it a day. Warhorn, barrier, meteor, bats, magma she'll, and dragonknight standard give me much more utility to pick from than the weapon ultimates have to offer.

As a dedicated Nightblade healer, my only options for ultimates right now are Soul Siphon (which I will continue to use) and Barrier. As such, I am looking forward to using the restoration staff ultimate. I'm thinking I'll lean toward the morph that casts multiple restoration spells at once.

Give us something unique. We don't need another meteor spell. You even put a delay on it. WTH! Not to mention how expensive it is to use!
