Maelstrom Arena disconnect bug - XBOX

Sup.... i'm a pvp player, I literally do no pve what so ever... not really my thing and I don't really enjoy it.

I have done dungeons to obtain my monster sets but even that was a drag for me.... and to make money I kill people for stones, buy Robedo leather with the stones... and sell it at guild traders.

Well I finally decided to do Maelstrom Arena because I decided I wanted a Maelstrom 2h and a Bow, all my friends were doing it... so thought to myself... meh... why not.

I start the arena "Maelstrom Arena Started (Veteran)..... finish Arena 1...2...3...4 and then when I got to 5 I struggled so much due to this being a first time run. I think I died 6 times on that round? Well anyway.... I finally finish the round... click the portal to go through to round 6.... I disconnect to my xbox dashboard.

Load the game back up, log on to my character... and I'm in Shadowfen, the last place I was before I fast travelled to the Maelstrom Arena.

My friends assured me when I got back I would be on round 6 still......

Well I run to door... go through door... and i'm on round 1 again -.- -.- -.- -.- and it says started Maelstrom Arena (Veteran) again -.- -.- -.-

I was 100% on Veteran before the DC... so it has nothing to do with the difficulty level.

I'm now going back to pvp, and tbh Im not even sure if I can be bothered do it again. I can't imagine how I would have felt if I got to the later rounds and this happened.... I'm pretty sure my controller would have been in pieces.

Anyway..... fix your content.... this might be easy to some, and some might love pve... but this was literally soul destroying..... and since you force me to play pve to min max my character, I do not feel this is particularly fair.

Did you pick up the quest at the start? If not it won't save. If you did that sucks hard

I don't imagine you're going for a Flawless Run just yet but might be a couple of things worth noting:

If you DO pick up the quest and DO have a DC, you won't get the title - The DC combined with the quest counts as a checkpoint in the quest for some reason (The game thinks you've gone away and come back at a later date and used the quest progress point - Even though you will still receive a score iirc)
If you DONT pick up the quest and DO DC, you will get the title.

There's a way to make sure you don't get a DC, 75% of the time - When you're in the lobby area with the quest giver do the following:

1. Make sure it's only the quest giver and merchant in the room
2. Hold your power off button (On your Xbox itself) until it turns off
3. Listen to your Xbox and wait for all of the fans and other noises to stop
4. Pull out your power cable for 15-20 seconds
5. Plug it back in and start your Xbox back up
6. Go into the arena

Chances are, you won't DC but it still does happen sometimes.

Also, if, when you die, you're getting the loading screen at the front entrance's small staircase - Delete all of the quests you can from your quest log.

No idea if, how and why these solutions work for these issues - Or why it's not been looked in to yet (Probably because we're merging soon anyway and it's not broke on Xbox NA (So I've heard) - But there it is, a couple of long winded and tedious workarounds.

I didn't pick up any quest I just fast traveled to the arena and went straight in guess this is why my progress didn't save.

And "won't get the title".... is that the "flawless conqueror" title you speak of? I have no intentions on trying to get high scores or do flawless runs, just want to farm it for end reward... if I get on high scores along the way and get the end of week reward then it would be a bonus.... but even if I had flawless conqueror title I'd likely still display my pvp rank :')
