Text Chat needs a Block option

I think there should be a option in the game, that allows players to block individuals for offensive, spamming or just about anything to where you don't have to see there "Text" messaging in Zone Chat on your screen. Kinda like facebook and have a option to where you can see a list of who you blocked as well as a option to unblock the individual. I don't think gamers like myself should be forced to turn off "Hud Chat Display" under "Social" under "Options," because some gamer is having a bad day or can't restrain themselves from offensive, spamming or belief perspectives on "Zone Chat," while everyone else in Zone Chat is being polite.

There is its through xbox live though, you can go to text chat under social, scroll up to the offender, then select view gamer card, then select block.

You can block the person on Xbox live, but apparently you can still see their in-game chat. The chat itself needs a "block."

If zone chat get's that bad and persists, you can always report a player.

I'd try to calm them down by letting them know they could get reported first though. /ignore or block if you get hate whispers.

If blocking them doesn't work then it should be made so it does. Why have the option to block someone from text chat if it doesn't block them IN text chat?

Yes, I've tested it with a buddy and it does work. The only way it could be failing that I can think of is if you are selecting the wrong gamertag to block. I have blocked 20+ people already and have yet to see another post from any of them.

I don't see how this could be true, I've tested this multiple times and it does completely block you from seeing their posts.

Edit: Perhaps if they are in your guild it could be over ridden? I just don't see how though being they are blocked through xbox live.
