What to spend champion points on?

If your like me and see yourself getting farther away from the cap. Do you think to yourself, I know I will never get to spend these? What if we could spend those points to reallocate set stats on gear? In other words make customized items. Turning a magica item into a stamina item, A weapon damage item into spell damage. There are a lot of possibilities. Basically keep in line with the theme of the gear item but rework it. I know some of you would think this would stop people who do dungeons for items to stop once they got the piece of gear they were looking for. For some they would. That already happens. The majority of people that I know like creating new builds and the like running dungeons for the fun of it. I appreciate the feedback good or bad.
