Suggestions to keep ESO fresh and stop BiS nonsense..

Are you as tired as I am from hearing about elitism and "Best in Slot" chit-chat and put downs? I love the amount of sets that are out there - but I honestly don't think there are enough abilities for people to choose from to suit their style of play and reduce the "BiS" elitism that seems to dog each and every MMO.

Here are a couple of suggestions that might stop this happening... and start to mean we see different builds out there, rather than everyone copying the same few builds...

1) Create a few more traits to learn with 10+ trait craftable armor
2) Give more morph options to skills (like 2 stamina morphs and 2 magicka morphs per skill)
3) Create more skills for each class
4) Introduce at least one new class and one new race
5) Racial active skills - as well as passive ones. Let's see Orc's have a "beserk" active ability or Wood Elves getting a long range bow attack etc...
6) Greater selection of enchants and runes
7) New guilds - and pit guilds against each other (Blacksmithing Guild, Traders Guild etc...) And start to force people to have characters make choices about which guilds they want to join - and don't allow certain guild choices coincide with other guild choices. Let's face it, no thieves guild in all of Tamriel would accept a Dark Brotherhood member among them.
8) Farming/Harvesting/Crafting sets. Bonuses that speed up harvesting - or even increase the amount that can be harvested. Maybe even sets that show the percentage chance of a node dropping a special inclusive farm (like nirncrux - or maybe even, as suggested, the trait stones of extra trait(s)).

I'm excited for One Tamriel and all the new sets... but I think ZoS could go a LOT further....

Not sure about a whole fishing skill line - but certainly it could have passives and active skills under a harvesting skill line!!

The amount of skill or items won't this issue. It will eventually really come down to numbers. Players will end up using the set with 2% more dps over the set with slightly more survivability when it comes to the end game content.

The above suggestion doesn't necessarily stop the BIS mentality. What ZOS can implement is to create more content where mobs/bosses requires coordination and not just stack and burn.

We already have this with trials like Maw and the new dungeons that have mechanical functions... Whilst I like these fights, it doesn't mean we need to push ONLY this type of content.

What I'm suggesting is that with more builds, will inevitably bring around more varied PvP and even more varied groupings for dungeons and trials. I don't know about you guys, but I'm absolutely tired of the swarm of Malubeth Magplars and Stam Sorcs all have the same build and abilities...

The problem I think lies in the fact that there are only a very limited amount of decisions that can be made with each race/class and abilities...

I admit, I myself mimmick the Umbra build on my magicka nightblade - but I've developed it to meet my individual play style - but I'd like to develop it more and become MORE unique - but sadly, choices are way too limited to do so.

The idea of farming sets - should also go even further to crafting guild memberships whereby you can actually obtain very rare items by doing their quests that might even speed up research for instance, or enable the crafting of a unique piece of armor - or even enable someone on a one time thing to upgrade to gold using less tempers...

    1. No matter how many traits we'll have there will be always few that outperforms others. You simply cant make 10 equal trait.
    2. Completly destroys the ballance. You want for example bow skills to have magicka morphs otr breath of life with stamina morph? Current ballance is simple magicka have more class skills stamina have more weapon skills.
    3. You'll still have 5 slots on bar so no matter *** much new skills Zenimax would add You'l still choose 1 best combination.
    4. I dont know how it would change BiS problem. New class would get BiS setup aswell and if new race would outperform current races it would becoma BiS if not then it wouldnt
    5. So if imperial would have ability usefull in certain stuation more then any other then that part of gameplay would be p2w , also You would be locked for certain builds even more then now . for example due to fact dual wield gets the best dmg You dont choose race with active ability improving bow.
    6. Same like with traits
    7. Well all guilds added after game release have no influence on gampelay due to fact there is no active combat abilities there and almost all passives affects this guilds playstyle only not overall playstyle so i think guilds like blacksmithing or trading would not have any influence on BiS setups.
    8. Ok so if You're going to farm something or craft something You just take off Your BiS PvE setup and wearing BiS crafting/farming setup then You're doing Your job and when You're done You wear BiS PvE gear again.
