Deconstructing items

I was wondering if I deconstruct an item with training on it do I definitely get the gem back so I can make another or is there just a chance I will get it back?

It's a chance, but that chance improves with points in the relevant deconstruction passive. In practice after crafting for awhile you will be drowning in the common trait stones and style stones.

Thanks for the response. I was looking online for help on finding training gem stones and it said deconstructing was the main way, but I didn't think it would be guaranteed. Glad I asked. You've possibly saved me from making a huge mistake!! :-)
