Is there a drop in the number of people using group chat when grouping via the grouping tool (PS4 NA)?
I managed to get into the new dungeons for the first time (normal mode) and in Ruins of Mazattun (?) at would seem you can sneak past a lot of the riff raff and focus on the bosses. There was nobody else in group chat and it appeared that I was the only one who had not done the dungeon before. Everyone just ran through the first areas sneaking past everyone, so I could not even consider doing the quest. I was the tank so there is no way I can take on mobs by myself, so didn't do the quest.
In the end I quit on a boss that kept pulling other monsters down and putting some sort of green aura or gas on you after we wiped about 4 times (I was always the last to die) and still nobody came onto group chat or tried communicating with me. Maybe there is an assumption that because I am at CP cap I know what to do but these are still new content and as it is a game, I am going to at least try and complete it before I get online to research the mechanics.
Even went into normal ICP and the only sound I heard from another player was an apology when we wiped and a goodbye when someone had to leave after a couple of wipes on the last boss - surely you need to talk in ICP if you are using group finder and do not know everyone in the group. In the end we didn't finish the dungeon.
I admit to not having run any dungeons for a couple of months due to group finder being broken but is this becoming more common behaviour these days?
I did run the other new one for the first time with another group, of which two of them were in chat, so they talked me through the various mechanics and we completed it no problem. Out of 5 dungeons attempted using group finder, this was the only one where there was more than one other person who was in group chat and said anything.
Australian on PS4 NA server.
