Yeah this happends all the time, Cyrodiil is AvAvA zone and we all need to accept this very fast. There is very little space for small scale PvP and 1v1 builds... Thats why we have IC :) You can find there 1v1 and 1v2/3 very often :)

I am doing my best, but I am not a native speaker, sorry.

"Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game." - @AlexanderDeLarge

IC isn't in small scale zone, baddie zerglings still flood that place as well.

Too bad that for 1, there's no reason to go there besides 2x telvar week and 2, it's saturated in PVE mobs everywhere you turn. It's not a true PVP zone as it doesn't have meaningful pvp objectives or leaderboards and there's no max cap on group size so zergs just frequent there too.

Cyrodiil is big enough for all styles of gameplay. Moving the entire community in the direction of "ZvZ or gtfo" is a very dangerous thing indeed. Especially considering how the servers handle large group warfare.

The servers have been handling the larger battles very well since Shadows of the Hist was released a few weeks ago. Highest my ping has been in prime time was around 220, which is better than most Oceanic players, average ping is around 110.

The mobs in IC are a joke now; quite literally you can spam brawler and wreck them in a few swings.

I've had quite a few fun small scale fights around the flags in IC. The problem is if you make those objectives a part of the scoreboard it'll attract even more large groups.

Overall, the PvP experience in ESO is one, if not, the best in any game. Spent a lot of time in Arenas and Battlegrounds in other games and by far Cyrodiil AvAvA is the best. (Never played DAOC).

Just gotta except the fact that if your a smaller group, every battle is the Alamo!!!

e: Not sure about PC NA but PC EU the ping was fine in prime time for a week maybe, then it was back to the usual (unplayable). From watching streams, it looks similar in PC NA but yeah.

Group based game in cyrodiil, Dueling will be out next month then you can 1v1 until the cows come home.

in AVAVA you can be killed by one or by 50 that's the way it is, like they say,, some days you eat the bear some days the bear eats you.. /shrug

Some days I walk out of a keep and get rolled by 40 EP, oh well I should have looked before I crossed the road lol.

That's what they advertised this game to be large scale, plenty of other games out there with small scale mini games.

What does this mean, "Should be able to find it?" It's everywhere, you just can't control if the guy will call for help.

Case in point, a week ago or so I had 4 well known 1vX players attacking me. I asked for assistance in TS and we killed them. Was I wrong to call for aid because those players wanted a 4v1 instead of a 4v15?

Any organized group with voice chat that chases down one person has terrible leadership.

When I streak away and a full group chases me down, that group needs a better lead and to reevaluate their strategies. Any group wasting their time with one player certainly can't be disciplined enough to go toe-to-toe with skilled groups.

Back in the day in Decibel, we'd leave known 1vXers alone and you'd get yelled at for chasing down one guy. You cant have a raid full of dogs chasing squirrels and expect to be competitive.

Sorry, we have all been hunted by waves of players. The day you put yourself out there as a streamer there was a large target on your back. Decibel played back in the day with blood port camps, so I'd be less concerned about camps now. What I'm mostly referring to is groups seeing one player off in the distance and chasing them down for no reason. I've had groups spot me from a distance, and 24 people spend five minutes running down one sorcerer. I know when I'm out playing solo, which is almost 100% of my PvP time, I'm not dropping camps for groups I don't know or don't care about. A group that spends 5 minutes chasing me down is a group that just wasted five minutes.

I'm out there looking for 1vX opportunities to kill 1 or more players. The only time I can see it being justified is with Bomb blades, because they're actively targeting your group.

Umm you are in a path where AD and EP fight faction vs faction constantly , looking for small scale . Not being rude but I thought you were a experienced player here .

If I want small scale I go to a resource away from everyone and fight awhile until it becomes too busy . This is only comical because of the place you've chosen .

It gives you 949 dmg shield if you don't hit one person.
Hit 3 and it gives you a 2847 shield.
On its own it's a terrible dmg mitigation, but on paper that's 2847 dmg away from RD (not assuming you blocked). If RD is cast at full health, youll be hit by roughly 1k non crit spill dmg before your armor/impen effect the final number. This assumes your CP mitigation wasnt applied during the shield effect (which it always will).

It's primarily a pve tool for solo questing, but suggesting it's far from useless is an understatement, especially if used as a escape mechanic instead of a dmg.

I would test it's effective use if surrounded by 10 people, in conjunction with enough armor, Cp mitigation, dodge roll, elude, block, impen and vigor. If it works, you should be able to roll dodge to safety if zerged and go back to spamming jabs. If not, then it's strictly a pve tool.

I seriously got a good laugh out of watching that video... I would have laughed even harder had those zergs just had a few peeps that would have tea bagged you.

I laugh because of how many times this has happened to me... and when it happens you are saying to yourself... WTF? SRSLY? The whole group had to kill ONE guy?

When I am running around the battlefield and I see ONE dude getting beat on by more than a couple people, I leave that battle alone... UNLESS it is someone I despise... but there are very few people I despise... only tea baggers that zerged me down and then tea bagged me... OR... RD users... I hate RD more than anything I have ever hated in this game.
