3 day guest campaign cool down too long?

The point to switching guest campaigns is to see which best campaign best suits you. But to wait 3 days, then 3 MORE days if you enter it, since the cool down resets, seem redundant? Is this some stupid anti exploit scheme? I've been wanting to leave haderus, guest, for over a week, but azuras star , my home, NA has been dead as a doorknob, can't leave home campaign, being 7th place.
