Can you disable UI errors?

I get memory warnings all the time, it's getting kind of annoying since it doesn't seem to affect the games performance at all anyways.

Google gave me /script ZO_UIErrors_ToggleSupressDialog() but it doesn't help.


I've even had to create a macro to toggle my mouse, click the dismiss button and then untoggle the mouse again, so i can remove it with a one button press if i'm in the middle of combat for example.

It works for me...I use it everyday and every time I switch to a new character. I have the command set to a macro on my keyboard. I only have to press it once when I log on to that character and I'm good to go until I log out.

You can put it into Notepad and copy and paste it to the chat line...as a work-around.

You can also modify the configuration files to increase the amount of memory dedicated to addons...however, I never could get it to work properly. The only thing that worked was the command you mentioned above.

I'm not sure on this but do you use addons? As they might be related with them if you do. I get them sometimes too and it can get annoying when your trying to do something and this big ol' box just appears in the centre of your screen.

I have not tested if I still get them without addons so if anyone does still get them without addons it would be nice to know

Oh and yes i use addons. AUI, Srendarr and Master Merchant to be exact.

I used to have memory errors all the time, until I started using Shissu's LUA Memory ( http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info883-ShissusLUAMemory.html ). And all memory errors went away. I use it in Automatic Mode.

Here is the simple solution

Step 1: Close ESO

Step 2: Locate the UserSetting.txt file in (Documents>Elder Scrolls Online> Live (or LiveEU) and edit the following line: LuaMemoryLimitMB "64" ..change 64 into 128 (512 preferred if using MM OR more if needed)



Step 3: Save and close the UserSetting.txt file and then open up eso again and you will be error free.

Feel free to adjust the memory limit to account for your add on needs. Hope this helps.

This is so helpful!!! I've been having the same issue. First i thought it was because i have outdated addons, but have updated them all and still getting that (very annoying ) error popup!

i could never get this to work properly. The only that consistently worked was the the string that the OP posted. I am hoping the addons list above work to correct the problem so I don't have enter that string in any longer.

The No Thank You addon will handle these errors too. It gives you options and I have mine go to Notifications, although I think I can even suppress that action. However, I do want to see the error messages just in case for instance, ZOS reset my LUA Memory settings after an update.

Another solution I used is a add-on called "Shissu's LUA Memeory", which does the same thing as @majulook showed, as this changes your LUA size, but does it with a /command in game. But, even with this, sometimes LUA errors still happen, but rarly now. Hope this helps...

Wow thanks guys you're awesome. I get that error all the time, an everytime I switch characters. It's kind of annoying when you get it in the middle of a fight.

I think I'll pick the addons suggested and see if it works for me.

Download Minion as your addon manager. Install this previously mentioned addon.

While I never get the lua memory errors because I increased to 1024mb, I use 'No Thank You' which not only stops a bunch of other unwanted messages, but redirects lua popups to the notification box instead.

I set mine at 2056! lol... But I still get errors VERY rarly. "No Thanks" is great, but as a GM and active in 5 guilds I want/need the MoD popups, so don't have it myself. Maybe I should give it a try...:)

For some reason my game has started giving them to me as notifications rather than pop-ups. I can only think that this is an updated function of one of the add-ons I've had for ages (haven't installed any new add-ons for a while). My guess is it's the "No, Thank You!" add-on.

I had no trouble for months after manually changing it to 1024, but recently the error messages started popping up again. I got Shissu's addon to fix that and I did stop getting random lua errors while playing, but I do still get one error each time I log in on a character. I haven't found a way to fix this so at the moment I am using No, Thank You to make it a notification so that I can ignore it.
