Why do we care? I never wear or use my rewards a reskinned mount a reskinned jester a sphere I can summon with a boss helm and a wraith to confuse for enemy wraiths in wrothgar..

Everyone disappointed in these boxes and/or calling it a "cash grab" is displaying their ignorance on business, in general. Literally nothing about the inclusion of these reward crates will negatively impact the game, and to simply click your tongues and fold your arms in disappointment at the idea of ZOS trying to make money off of their product is just juvenile and petty.

Well not everyone. I really have no problem giving them money. And i will probably continue to do so. But I will give them money for a product i want. I will not give them money for the chance to get something I want.

It is a simple matter of like and dislike. Not some great moral stand. I dont like being disappointed. These magic boxes disappoint over and over. I pay for things i like and enjoy. I dont pay for things i dont like and I dont enjoy. It isnt a hard concept.

I have no problem at all with them. It is the same stuff already in store but a lottery. Zero problem with that. Just want to keep my loyalty rewards because well that is how it should be and apparently zos agrees

No, quite the opposite, you are showing your ignorance with people getting fed up with being exploited.

I don't think there is a single person here that doesn't understand the business side of it. Which is very simple. So simple that any MMO can do it, and for me it's a sign of a failure of a product, i'm sure others feel the same. That doesn't mean we are ignorant how business works. I won't speak for the rest but for me, I just despise it.

    As for the comment
and to simply click your tongues and fold your arms in disappointment at the idea of ZOS trying to make money off of their product is just juvenile and petty.

Dead. Wrong. What product? Chance isn't a product, it's a tool to take without giving. They could release a 'crate' named "Super rare but extremely awesome Cthulhu mount crate" with a 0.000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance of getting it, and then throw in random junk to skirt gambling laws because "it isn't gambling if you always get at least one thing, even if it's intentionally worthless to spite the customer" and no one ever actually gets the mount... How would anyone being dissapointed at that be regarded as petty and juvenile?

If every single grocery store in the world started operating like this, so people already struggling because businesses are all about maximising profits while minimalising wages will now struggle to even have a 1/5 or better chance at successully buying milk, if people complained that chance shouldn't be a factor in that scenario, is that also going to be petty and juvenile because it became a standard business practice?

We know it's business, that doesn't mean ignorance, it's defiance. There's no reason to accept such practices we don't agree with, and clearly people don't agree with paying money to not even get what we pay for.

yes I do like having something that many other people do not have. I like not having the same thing that everyone with some money can get. something that requires time to get and not straight up money. I also like having something to show off how long I have been around and to establish all the crap I have been through. most importantly, it establishes my loyalty to the game and the last remaining thing that reminds me that despite the cash shop and other negative things zos has done they have at least kept their word on something. Putting these in a cash shop come tell underminds the whole thing and is a slap in the face to the players.

I would like to adress some points here :) first of all, belive me I know how you feel about owning an item that no many other people have..

BUT, I think it's a mistake to say that it should not be something that "anyone with money can get" when honestly, money is all it took to get it in the first place.. time/effort was not in any way needed to get it.. you could pay for your year, and done..

Your loyalty to the game.. Ok one year of loyalty.. Other people have subbed for a year, don't they deserve something then.? And don't say the crown store as that's for everyone :)

I don't know you, but i like you. I never understood these selfish people who think all about keeping things to themselves, even pure single player games, you see people go nuts about arguing exclusivity for their items if someone asks for a chance to get it too.

I didn't buy the PC version, i was waiting for console, they had a loyalty system i could never take part in, they scrapped it before it hit console, i can't imagine why.... another MMO i know of, they have loyalty rewards for every 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 800, 900, 1,000 days total of being subscribed (loyal) although they stopped making rewards for days after 1,000 they didn't just scrap the whole thing to prevent future players from missing out, it was kept in, no point in wasting time and resources to remove a reward system when it's a good reason to subscribe. But ZoS? they seem to like to keep the worst ideas of MMO's and try new ideas instead of keeping the good MMO ideas.

Sadly the first step to why MMO's resort to using gambling tactics. :/

I guess you don't get what means to work for something...or to be loyal to something...or to be at the right place at the right time. Anyway, its not about being the most special...it's about me sticking through the game...through thick and thin...and having the foresight to buy something when it was made available.

I know just fine.. And please don't call it work  it's still just a game.. But I don't have a problem with sharing either.. If putting a tiger in a box could get us more players, start putting tigers in boxes..

I don't have any loyalty rewards...

Putting tigers in boxes will gain some players but lose others. This is an online game, and people want to be able to distinguish themselves and show off their accomplishments. If I know that I will have no chance of looking any different than a new character with more disposable RL money than I have, then it would be discouraging.

Is that immature, selfish, or not being willing to share? I don't know, but its human nature. Is it selfish of new players to want everything someone else has? Many people want them because they're unique and they're being told they can't have them, again human nature.

Loyalty during that time should be considered an accomplishment and should have been rewarded. Those players stuck with the game, with all its flaws, and helped keep it alive so that it could become the game it is today. Let them keep their rewards. Similar, re-skinned items can be made that are effectively the same.

No, Crown Crates will not include the old loyalty rewards.

ZO$ have done u-turns on policy numerous times, no reason to believe there wont be more :(

see i disagree for the most part. Many times it is players misquoting or interpreting what they say to be something else and everyone jumps on the bandwagon.

in fact, they have been consistent with making sure that their subs are good to go.
