There is actually is higher problems with this system. Orzorga Red Frothgar (Health + Mana recovery) drink requires Clear Water, but clear water supply will be limited to characters that have rank 2 alchemy. This drink is useful for any character level, particularly low skill points characters and healers that often have problems with sustain.

    incorrect.

    Just wrong.

if you ran the dlcs you would know this.

Characters with the BASIC automatic rank 1 in achemy get access to both natural water and clerar water.

So any character picking up a water node that is not an alchemist (no ranks in the alchemy up beyond the free automatic one) will get 50% at his character level and 50% that are divided between natural and clear (i currently see this in scaled zones with my 11 non-alchemist characters.)

So, the access to clear water will remain even after oneT scales all of those - and likely that will be sufficient to handle those still using Red Frothgar (and giving up the maxmag gains.) I myself use thos edelicacies (Red Froth, trifle pocket etc) for level 3-50 characters all the time since they keep scaling up as the character advances and so they dont get discarded as the character moves beyond them.

But i see clear water (and tears) quite frequently when running the scaled dlc now.

I suppose if you CHOSE to take every character and give them upgrades into alchemy you could skill yourself out of the clear water harvesting and limit yourself to vendors/trading... but if you need clear water, why would you do this?
