Really ZoS. It takes 5 hours+ to implement a 96MB patch?

    Yeah, this is a pretty small patch judging by the patch notes....seems more like a hotfix situation....unless that crashing issue they are fixing mandates they take the server offline....

    ...but oh well, guess we'll all have to find something else to do for a bit. If they've put out the patch notes, it's probably going to be fairly soon that the update is completed.

    Yes it is taking a long time. Yes it is annoying and no, we haven't had any communication from ZoS on the reason for the 7+ hour outage.

    Many of us would appreciate an offical status update from ZoS. Until we get one, I humbly offer my own version of the current status - take it for what it is worth:

    "Current maintenance is proceeding. Some unexpected issues were discovered during the maintenance cycle. In order to ensure the best possible experience for everyone, we are fixing these issues before opening the servers. Please be patient and we understand you are all eager to get back into Tamriel."

    Fixed an issue that was causing the game to crash for some players, ultimately causing unexpected server downtime.


    So, the clients crashing was also killing servers? If that's the case, you can all blame me for the server downtime.
