Console text chat spamming is a serious issue. Certain players feel the need to link every item they own for no reason whatsoever. This clogs the chat for players who actually want to use it for a reason, please add a spam bot that limits the amount of times a player can post in rapid succession and please remove the ability to link bound items. I'd like to use the chat to request assistance for world bosses, sell items...etc. but my messages are hidden the second they are posted by spammers. No wonder it took ZOS to implement text chat on console too many immature players who think it's funny to brag about maelstrom weapons or link bananas 15 times in a row. Please fix!

    I believe there is a quick way to deal with them. If you open the larger text box you can highlight a line of text from a spammer and ignore them from there.

    I've never seen any spamming on PC since launch. Mind you, I have disabled Zone Chat :wink: !

    Not on console myself, but if the above quote is accurate, you should be able to add players to your ignore list.

    At PC launch everything was flying past so fast, you couldn't even read the zone chat. I had it turned off for the first few weeks.

    These days it's OK and only gets busy in the large alliance hubs ...
