chatpad problem

Its not an ESO related problem, but i would like to hear if any of you have had similar problems.
So i bought a chapter to use for textchat in ESO and the green and orange keys are all wrong. for example when i want to type a ? (question mark) by hitting the green circle and the the dot key, the symbol _ is typed instead of a ?. its like this with all the keys:( nearly all of them type a different symbol than the one indicated on the chatpad...

✭✭✭✭✭Have you plugged in the controller with the chat pad and done a controller update.
There are two required so plug in both the chat pad and a compatible Xbox one headset via the 3.5m adapter
Go to Xbox one settings-->devices and do
1. Controller update
2. Chat pad update
Do this for each controller
Close and quit the ESO game app
Then relaunch it.-PC (PTS)/Xbox One: NewBlacksmurf

yeah i have done all of that when i hooked it up for the first time:( and i have tried doing it again just to be sure, but it says its fully updated
