Magicka DK - Why Are Talons Physical Damage?

I was going to just write "something something buff mag dk damage" but I'll actually take this seriously sense I have invested into this class lately. Obviously it's well known that mag dk damage isn't that great right now (see Spaghetti Noodle Whips) however I don't see a reason that this high magicka costing ability would do physical damage since absolutely no magicka class has any reason to put any points into buffing physical damage. Not to mention that for some reason it scales with spell damage and max mag yet the actual damage itself is still physical? The damage on tooltip does indeed go up after spell power buffing, not entirely sure if there's some reason behind this wonky mechanic but yeah...would make far more sense to have it deal flame damage or even magic damage at the least like the impale synergy. Just my two cents on it at least seeing that it would be a little buff to our damage but nothing over the top.

*puts on duncecap* Burning talons now deals flame damage on the activation hit as well, TIL. Anywho, that actually makes somewhat sense now I guess. Carry on forum users nothing to see here.

Once you morph it (and take the dps, not the tank morph) it will do fire damage.
