Hey

Now textchat etc. is comming i wanna try ESO again on the PS4.

I'm still fairly new and as my responsetime isn't the best and as am pretty new with controllers too (only played PC games be4) I'm lf an easy templar build as i heard and readed they are one of the easiest classes.

Doesn't rly matter if it's ranged or melee aslong it's a dps build and it's rotational wise good for new players.

Magicka for the big heals and some nice AoE. Personally, I like the Stamina Templar because I like to be in melee, but this build seemed slower to get off the ground than Magicka. It's pretty easy to play a Templar b/c while they may not top the DPS chart, they are do kill quickly in PvE and have great suvivability.

Templar is an easy class to start out with when you are learning.

When you start out, just put the first skill from each class line on your actives bar, make sure you know which button is your class heal - that is going to get you through a lot of solo play situations.

If you want to play magplar then put all your attributes into magicka, if you want to play stamplar then put all your points into stamina. I would suggest that magplar is a little bit easier, but both are fairly effective.

    either stam or mag work....

for stam go dual wield on the front bar bow on the back - works a treat.

Templar, IMO, is the easiest class to hop on and play. That doesn't mean you'll be a Master, but with pretty much only using 1 skill you can solo the entire game.

Templar, especially magicka spec, is very beginner-friendly.
I would recommend magicka, because you will have access to a spammable attack that heals you, strong self-heals and the best execute in game.
    Essential skills for that build:
    1) Puncturing spears (morph of the first aedric spear skill) heals you and does nice damage. That would be your main attack.
    2) Breath of life/honor the dead (morphs of the first restoring light skill) - a very strong heal. Can heal allies as well. You wont need it in group dungeons, since you will have a healer, but for soloing its very nice.
3)Channeled focus (morph of the last skill of restoring light) - a magical circle that grants you a defense buff and restores your magicka.
3)Radiant opression (last skill of dawn's wrath skill line) - this is the best execute in game. Use it when your enemy is around 30% hp for massive damage ;)
4)Vampire's bane/reflective light (morphs of the first skill of dawn's wrath skill line) - a nice damage over time skill
5)Nova (Dawn's wrath ultimate) - doess good damage and reduces enemy damage at the same time.
6)Wall of elements/elemental blockade (destruction staff skill line) - awesome skill for all magicka builds. Just put it on your back bar, use this skill and reflective light on your enemy and spam puncturing sweeps and see them melt. Dont forget to use radiant at 30%. Just keep in mind that you cant block while sweeping, so watch for enemy heavy attack telegraphs.
7)Blazing spear (morph of spear shards) - good area of effect skill, can be used from distance (unlike steel tornado or impulse), and stuns casters. In group content, an ally can activate a synergy from this ability and restore stamina.
8)Meteor/shooting star (Mage's guild ultimate) - very good dps ultimate for all magicka classes
9)Repentance (restoring light skill, i forgot whats the name of the unmorphed one - something like restoring aura?) - if you decide to off-heal in group dungeons, this skill is essential. Its a free heal for you and your allies + it restores stamina.
10)Inner light (morph of magelight, mage's guild skill line) - a boost to your magicka and spell critical, nuff said.

For passives, Id recommend wearing 5 pieces of light armor and take all the passives here. Going full heavy is common for new players, but in the end your sweeps and self-heal will make you pretty damn sturdy and youll need that extra sustain from the light armor. And heavy armor values might look good, but armor mitigation is capped on 50%. There are some good tanky builds for pvp, but in pve light armor is the way to go for magicka builds (ofc unless youre tanking).

    Two words:

    Puncturing Sweep

From there just play how you want and develop your own style. You'll have PLENTY of Skill Points by the time all things are said and done.

A question or two I am going to try your advice on skills and such so I thought I would ask what type weapon should I use or does it matter? Also do I put any points in the weapon? I see that you said to go light armor does that mean to put points into light armor as well? I am imperial do any of the racials help there? Should I focus on points into skills before all else? Sorry I am new to game so any help is appreciated
    Thanks CyberKnight
