*Stamina DPS: Trial Gear* Alkosh vs Vicious Serpent

Greetings everyone,

I would like to know what your thoughts are on Alkosh and Vicious Serpent sets in the following combinations:

Alkosh Set-up:
- 4 Piece Alkosh (Jewelry, Head)
- 1 Molag Kena (Shoulder)
- 5 Piece Twice-Born Star (All other body slots)
- Maelstrom Dagger and Axe
- Maelstrom Bow

Vicious Set-up
- 5 Piece Vicious Serpent (Jewery, Head, Shoulders)
- 5 Piece Twice Born-Star (All other body slots)
- Maelstrom Dagger and Axe
- Maelstrom Bow

Obviously this is assuming someone else is already runnning the 5 piece Alkosh set for that resistance debuff. I'm talking from a Stamina Sorcerer perspective.
So which one do you think is better? Why?

@Alcast If you could throw in your opinion it would be nice! I'm pretty sure both of these are your own set-ups and I'd love to know what weaknesses/strenghts each of them have.

I've been curious forever is essence interacting with drawn essence from essence thief procs Alkosh if so 5 essence 6 alkosh would be very solid

Well damage wise both are equally strong. Yet the Vicious serpent one gives you the advantage of great sustain.
So I would always choose Vicious Serpent over Alkosh. Given that someone else is wearing 5x alkosh

The tank usually runs 5 Alkosh, 5 Tava's and 2 Blood Spawn anyways. It's a ridiculous set up for tanks as the armor of the target gets reduced by so much.

If no one else is running Alkosh then Alkosh.

Otherwise VO, also depends on your regen, if you have no sustain issues at all in a trial setting Alkosh might be slightly better is your hitting synergies every time they pop up.
