No "In-Game" Gamemasters

Why do we get the "Real Zenimax Game Masters have (ZoS sign) beside theyr name, dont be fooled by imposters" message sometimes in the loading screen?

I have never heared or seen one,
do they even excist?

We can make an In-Game ticket but it gets directed to the support part of the eso site.

I came up this problem recently having problems with a quest thats part of Cadwell's Silver,
i deleted the quest cause it was bugged and now the npc that hands out the quest doesnt show up anymore,
so i thaught i made an In-Game ticket expecting to get In-game help,
what a des-illusion that was,it got simply directed to a support ticket,
they said it was handed out to the development team and i should be assured it would be dealt with in the future,
also i wouldnt recieve any updates about it.

What ????

So now i have to wait to complete Cadwell's with my main character till it gets fixed in some patch,
and when i googled this it appeared this quest was already bugged 2 years ago,
so there goes Cadwell's on my main character i am afraid......

The quest i am having this issue with is "Strange Allies" in Eastmarch btw.

It would be very helpful if there were actual Real In-Game Game Masters that could help out us out,
or at least tried to.

Zenimax pulled all of the in-game GM's to save money, which was pretty much akin to a shark hunter chumming the water, and all of the cheaters and bot users came crawling out of the dark like so many cockroaches.

In my opinion the economic management of ZoS is a mess,
they keep making new DLC,stongly presume to try to make more money,
but in the end the base game keep suffering from bugs that been around for long,
    new DLC bringing new bugs.
They should stop making new DLC and instead fix the entire game as it is now,
not that all needs to be fixed, but there are some big issues and if they keep making new DLC just more bugs will show up.

I have just completed "Strange Allies" on a main EP character. Yes, the quest is bugged, but it does work eventually. It requires a great deal of patience.

You can only click on a tree once, even if the arrow shows up again. Also, out of the 8 or so clickable trees, only 4 of them will work at any given time. Keep on looking around, and go ALL the way up the path.

For others information, this is the quest where you have a giant following you around kicking trees so you can kill the worm cultists that fall out.

Its bugged on all platforms as far as I know, and has always been bugged for as long as I can remember. I have completed it on at least 8 characters.

The bug is mainly that you point at a tree, but the giant does not react. However, he will with some trees. I suspect it may be tied into other players doing the quest at the same time or very shortly before you have. It seems that the respawn times for the worm cultists are about 10 minutes, even when a tree is marked as clickable.

I indeed had some sort of problem with the quest, nothing happened at the trees i believe,
it was a few weeks back, after a half hour of trying i was sure it was bugged and deleted the quest and i didnt gave it a look back.
Later i found out it is part of Cadwell's Silver so i tried picking the quest up again but the npc is nowhere to be found.
So thats the major problem i have now,
if there is no npc to give the quest i cant even try completing it

    (i am on PC btw)

How on Earth would you know about the financial* (not economic lol) managment of ZOS?
Are you an accountant for them?

DUH they're going to make DLCs to make money because even YOU buy their DLCs. You're just one of many ZOS haters who think they have a clue of what they're talking about but really you have no idea.

If they could afford to give away a million dollars to a random fan for a promotion, I think they're doing okay with finances.

Dont forget, they released a black senche that glows in dark blue for 4000 crowns and most the forum was moaning about the price but most of Tamriel had it mounted lmao

Unfortunately GM's stopped being around since ESO went B2p. They use to remove farming bots quite often if you told them.

    "In my opinion",
you dont have to agree with it.

Making DLC takes use of developers i presume...
These developers could work on excisting bugs,i presume...
These developers needs to be paid,i presume....

"In my opinion" thats not a good financial management.

And "in my opinion" it seems you think you know what kind of person i am just from seeying a post here.

Actually, last year I put in a ticket. Later while I was in Stormhaven, I did get a whisper. They were standing right next to me. It was a Zos support person and they asked me some questions with regards to my support ticket, they thanked me for the information. They did have the Zos in front of their name. That was the only time I've ever seen them in game.

Somebody already mentioned that at some point they "excisted",
shame they got rid of this, all MMO that you need to pay for,single-payment and sub games, needs to have this.

Thats why i mentioned the DLC,
i think it safe to assume it costs money to develop them,
money they need to try to get back,
if they dont create new DLC they can use those developers to work on excisting bugs.

This last DLC is a very good example of trying to make more money,
calling 2 new dungeons a "DLC"...
Most MMO games would have added them to the game for free as a service to the customers.

Gamemasters haven't been around since 1.3 or at least that was the last time I saw one. It'd be nice to have them again but I think they were all laid off.

It indeed seems so,its a shame and then they should also remove that text about it in the loading screen if they are not planning to put them back in a later stage,it can create confusion.

I always find it interesting how people's experiences vary wildly. The only mount I've seen less then the neon cat is the camel but ive only seen 3 or so camels. Anyway everyone has different experiences. Makes the forums fun.

the first toon i played on dc..... got to the point where you have to rescue emeric from the tharn woman - far shores i think the quest is called - got to the point where i had just about killed her and the game crashed. tried a couple more times game crashed. so i put in an in game ticket. got an email from zos asking for diagnostics and such which i provided. next time i logged in was contacted by a guy with the z in a box thing next to his name. discussed the situation. he assured me they were looking into it. nice guy, can't remember his name.

anyway.... a day later got another email saying they had a fix that would go in the next patch. it did.

just cos you haven't seen something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

At launch during the first few months, a friend and I were in Wabbajack, and he got stuck in the floor of an Outpost. Just half his body sticking up from porch! Lol! We put in ticket, and about 5 min later a GM shows up and got him ported out. Was so cool. Never seen another since, but they use to exist. I would be nice to see one just running around.
At least the good folks at Zos do actually play, we just don't know it's them. Lol.. Wonder how many times I've run by Gina or Rich and never knew it!...:)

All submitted a ticket does is yield a canned response such as "we've forwarded this information to development", "try reinstalling the game," "ignore the player" or "contact sony or microsoft".

Once upon a time in games like everquest and world of warcraft you can put a ticket in and have a real live game master appear right next to you in-game, usually within 1 hour, and they'd resolve whatever the issue might have been.

Now we have zenimax quality service with a 2 day turn around times for tickets that resolve absolutely nothing whatsoever.
