What Can You Cheat?

Hello, I have been around the forums and in game for some time now and I see everywhere people talking about cheaters whether in game or in forums. My question is what can these cheaters cheat? I have run into the most talked about before and have killed and been killed by then a few times. I don't claim to be the best player and I am still fairly new, but I would like to know what exactly these players are able to do?

Anyone that can provide some information would be very appreciated, I see in zone chats anytime these players are playing and they are called "cheaters over at x". I do not make claims of cheats because I do not feel anything too crazy, they hit hard but die like other people from what I see, and I think that when I can get to the point where my items and armors are all to the max that I can hopefully kill them more than I die to these players.

I do not wish to divert though, I would just like to know what these players are able to cheat, thank you for answering and this is my first discussion so I hope I wrote everything correct

They used to be able to fly and spam meteors like light attacks.

I've been told CE can no longer be used. I do not know specifics, though.

Cheat Engine is a 3rd party program that allows players to manipulate the game itself. Players were able to "fly" and had inflated max resource pool amounts and regen.

Then there are bugs/unintended design elements like gap closing (i.e. Critical Rush) to a defending player perched on a keep wall. The game was designed that you need to penetrate a keep's walls before stepping foot inside. But if you crit rush up onto a wall you circumvent a core mechanic of Cyrodiil.

Update: I was contacted in game after someone saw my comment here, and I was given evidence in real time that CE can still be used to at least edit stats. I'll be posting some screenshots with names redacted out momentarily.

Because of latency and the nature of server/client communication and in how much this server trusts this client, I would say its neigh impossible to root out anyone staying within the trend graphs of users.

If you have a maximum, absolute maximum level of regen/resources/damage you tweak it up and up and up until its caught.

You will burn an account, but you know the limits.

So maybe that is 10 or 11 or 12.392% increase in damage, maybe 24% increase in regen, whatever.

You won't see anyone who is like superman, but they will just have something "fishy" about them, like you KNOW anyone else would have died, but they didn't.

What should I look for to know who is cheating in game? Is there something in particular or is it a sort of feeling?

There's no real way of telling, honestly. These people can edit it to where, say, Shuffle has a 40% dodge chance instead of the 20% it's supposed to. You might think they're just getting lucky with RNG. Same thing damage and healing, what you think might just be lucky crits are from Cheat Engine.

Macro'ing is pointless when animation canceling is much better and allows you to change on the fly instead of being Locked into a certain combination of key presses and movements. But yeah continue with your ignorance

I don't even bother to get irritated by those who cheat . I'm having fun and ignore them . People like lots of attention and will go through any means , even being negative towards the games rules to get their yahoos . You can get the same attention only better by not cheating , being polite and helping your fellow gamer friends . It's much better attention . Some of the best players in this game have no high scores just great personalities .

Not sure who told you that, but it's not true.

CE and similar apps have already been adapted and can still be used to cheat.

We can't rely on the "something fishy" argument. I get called a cheater by people who can't kill me. It happend the other day when I was trolling the bowtard and full health jesus beamers that like to stand on keep walls and spam. They couldn't kill me with their stupidity so obviously I must be cheating. Such fun rage whispers.

This is on ZOS to make sure that they can lock this *** down. They need to figure out how to detect CE. We can't rely on peoples feelings because any somewhat skilled player would be banned because some idiot that doesn't know how to play reported them.

I get called a cheater often. I know that I am not one of the best PvPers in the game. I know some people cheat, but honestly I haven't ever run into someone that rekts me so hard that I think they cheat.
