I'm looking to get some 9 trait armour crafted, as I currently can't create it myself. However, my question is, if I get someone to craft it for me with the correct trait/style etc as a white item, can I then upgrade it myself to gold? Cheers.

    yes but keep in mind that if your crafting isnt leveled up, it will take a lot more tempers to do it.

    For someone with all the passives unlocked, each equipment item requires 2 green tempers, 3 blue tempers, 4 purple tempers... and 8 gold tempers. If you have not unlocked the passives it will take more of each temper (I don't remember how much) so usually non-craftets will ask the crafter to upgrade the items for them as well.

    @undefeatdgaul

    Try 20 Gold Tempers....
    Plus:
    10 Purple Tempers
    6 or 7 Blues (its 15% chance per so not sure if they round down or up)
    5 Greens

    Ouch!

    Actually, it's 10 purple improvement materials and 20 gold improvement materials for improvement of each item without the Temper Expertise skill.

    As shown in this table, it's 20 without any points in Temper Expertise, then 14, then 10, and finally 8.

    You should put point into that passive which increases your chances to get tempers from decon stuff. That will help you a lot.

    That definitely helps get the purple/blue/green upgrade materials, but how often do you decon a gold item to get a gold upgrade material?

    The same passive improves your chances of getting tempers through refining as well, and you can definitely get gold tempers from that.

    I get most of my gold upgrades from breaking down mats. If you break them down as soon as you get them you will not get gold. Save them till you have a lot, like over 1k. Then keep deconstructing, the golds will start to show up.
