Cyrodiil Truce for Delves and Dolmens?

What do you all think of a truce between alliances when delving or closing dolmens? Like a simple, known in-game courtesy between solo players and small groups with no enforcement by game mechanics or ZOS.

Maybe make it Lore friendly with the Alliance leaders agreeing to work together fighting evils in the dark corners of the world and the Dark Chains of Molag Bal.

I know this is war and anything goes, but it can be really annoying trying to finish a delve boss or dolmen and an enemy player finishes you off right before you get the delve achievement or dolmen, especially after sneaking across the map.

I leave enemy players alone if they're in the middle of fighting a mob, boss, dolmen, etc. because I don't want to get busted if I'm doing that either.

Again, I know people scout each other then tell their buddies where they are or headed to gang up later, but at least wait until that player finishes what they're doing and gank em down the road from the delve or dolmen.

As a show of courtesy, I usually wait to be attacked. If you cloak as a NB, you are a target. If you streak past me, you are a target. If we in IC, you are a target. But delves etc? Meh, I won't be the first to attack. Some players are like me, some (like kena) see you as walking AP. Know what is better than a truce? Firepower. Head out in a group of four, much better that way =)

I don't mind actually fighting/dueling in a PvE location. I do mind being at 25% health at a mob or boss and getting finished off out of nowhere. I've learned to live with it but wondered what you all thought.

It depends entirely on my mood. Sometimes I feel like killing PvEers, sometimes not. I won't agree to any truce.

We leave small groups and solo acts alone unless they've engaged someone on siege / snagged someone lagging behind on horseback / otherwise behaved like a dweeb, but I don't think a solo player or comparably sized group should feel obligated to leave enemies alone just because they're doing pve content.

You have like 80% of the game world to feel safe and protected against other players; learn to defend yourself if you want to hang out here.

When I did Cyrodiil delves, I scouted them thoroughly before leaving myself vulnerable. I would sometimes find gankers to clear out.

It is the dynamic nature of Cyrodiil that makes it fun.

I don't know which mobs have had you down to 25%, but you probably want to be more survivable than that when soloing in Cyrodiil.

As personal preference, I will leave you alone if you leave me alone. More than likely, any good player will leave me alone and I'll leave him alone. It's always the squishy people that feel they have to gank me and well...die trying :|

A truce you can break any moment without any consequences is a dead idea. Better to try act like you aren´t hostile and hope your opponent understands your intentions. I even opened a threat to thank Roaldy for not attacking me at the dolmen. We also did the dolmen and went separate ways.

If you go into Cyrodiil, you shouldn't go into Cyrodiil with the mindset that players aren't going to attack you. That's defeating the purpose of Cyrodiil in it's entirety as lore, and as a game mechanic for PvP. So I disagree with this post, if you want to go get dolmens, and the motifs and rewards that come with them. You need to endure the fun, and challenge that comes with it. Look forward to seeing you in the field.

    Kind Regards, Sincerely Vulsin.

Just do whatever it is you want to do early in the morning. Worked pretty fine for me.. only a handful of souls in Cyrodiil at that time of day, so you should be able to get anywhere on horseback (i.e. without sneaking) uncontested.
I even managed to get all 4 skyshards behind the enemy's gates; thanks to a lucky coincidence where some other guys opened the way and I could slip through.

And when it comes to farming dolmen bosses: the cadwell's gold areas and their respective dolmens are also scaled to cp160. And, like in Cyrodiil, every dolmen boss can spawn at every dolmen - the lists where bosses 1-4 spawn here, bosses 5-8 there, etc. only apply to the unscaled areas of your character's alliance.

Enforcing the truce / "teaching them some manners" is in fact a fun thing I like to do every now and then: Hang out in plain sight at some pve location and wait for pve players to blindly attack you. Kill them -> /facepalm. Should teach them not to attack everything on sight :p

I've done several delves side by side with both AD & DC. Usually I'll wait, if they attack me I'll fight back. Sometimes if I'm chasing the bosses I'll whisper them first and if we agree to a truce we kill the boss together.

    It's a player/case kinda thing.

No no no no no. Would remove the buzz of 'what if'

I've been jumped at both, and I've done some jumping, I've also made spontaneous alliances with enemies in both. The buzz is not knowing. 100% leave it as is or you ruin all that.

This is why I love being a strong player and flaunting around my Flawless Conqueror title! :)

I'm a nice player! Honestly. I will never attack someone doing a Dolmen/Quest/Delve unless they attack me and refuse to stop.

I'll hold up my block and stand still, slowing raising and lowering block after a couple seconds. That is how I call a truce.

From my experience, group size changes their reaction completely:

    One player
    • Accepts truce 7/10 times

    Two players
    • Accepts truce 4/10 times

    Three players
    • Accepts truce 2/10 times

    Four or more
    • Never accepts truce

If I get attacked, they have to die :| Simple really.

I feel your pain, bro. This my story.

A long time ago, i was leveling up my character with a random v16 by my side, we see an enemy player, we hold block and we truce. So 2 hours later, the v16 guy leaves and bad *** started happening.

the enemy player was nowhere to be seen.
I was happy and thought that i had cwc all to myself.

But, out of nowhere, the enemy player attacks me and then kills me,
He then proceeds to teabag me, i was mad, REALLY MAD. So i go on the forums to calm my mind and see a thread posted by sribes, called Your Casual ganker VOLUME TWO. I watched the video and i was so amazed, his ganking skills were legendary,
I wanted to be like him, i copied his build and started to instakill every player that i saw, i ganked the gankers. >:)
Moral of the story is DON'T TRUST ANYONE IN PVP, KILL OR BE KILLED.
