I tried to raise a bug ticket with Zenimax for something that seemed not to be working in Elder Scrolls. I received a reply that encouraged me to raise the ticket but to do so through the PS4 UI.
I tried to do so. It is a tad painful because I am typing out the details of the ticked a character at a time using a PS4 controller. I might crack and try plugging a keyboard into the PS4.
As soon as I tried to submit the ticket I received a message to say an error occurred and to try again later. The ticket I had painstakingly constructed was promptly discarded.
The experience certainly left a lot to be desired but also made me wonder about ways in which the UI could be enhanced to make the process more efficient. It is in the interest of Zenimax to make it as painless as possible as we are assisting their QA team in finding and resolving bugs.
The available options were quite limited. Problem with an item / Problem with a player.
I was trying to report the cooking fire in Eyevea can not be interacted with so problem with an item was closest.
I thought it could help the developers if I could provide a screenshot perhaps and maybe capture my in world coordinates to direct the developers to the exact location of the item being reported.
Certainly after my experience it would be nice if the PS4 would save the ticket as a draft if it fails to send or if accidentally navigating away etc.
