Even though most of the people who writes in the forums are against new classes, I am still hoping for them to release new classes in the future. This game is pretty new, I guess we will get new classes in the future, and since druids have been in es game previously (and in eso too) I hope this will be one of the classes they release

I think the main reasoning behind not having druidic magic is because it isn't in the lore. Other magic schools can mimic druidic magic; telekinesis can manipulate plants to do whatever the caster wants. Although I do think that plant life in ES lore is bendable to a magic user's will. So it is in ES lore but not really, it has its own interpretation that doesn't fall in line with traditional druidic magic.

Shapeshifting which is another popular druidic magic, again has its own interpretation in ES through ww and vampire lord lore. Usually elite ww and vampire lords are granted ease of use of their transformation and granted additional gifts for accepting the daedra's gift of lycanthropy or vampirism. Only those who reject these daedric gifts are cursed because it is kinda rude to reject gifts in the first place. Its possible for peeps to turn into dragons through Akatosh but that didn't end well for Martin Septim, dragon shapeshifting is a one time use and seems to cause death. Wood elves can turn to bears but it seems very race specific.

So it seems druidic magic may be possible in ES lore. But what do you mean by druidic magic anyways. Do you want to throw leaves at people?

You want a druid? Make a grumpy Bosmer sorcerer XD

Wait, when were druids in ES games?

Hehe when I get bored at work I read about the lore in ES and I came across a post that explained in the very first game (Arena) Druids were mentioned and there is even a quest where you need to look for some Druid brothers (who are altmers).
I actually bookmarked the website because it was interesting  I found it here: http://www.imperial-library.info/content/oaks-cowls-and-galen-look-inside-druidism-elder-scrolls

Oh and by the way, I just remembered that the Forsworn (those guys in Markarth's zone, in TESkyrim) and the Skaal (a tribe in Solstheim) have Shamans  So maybe that would be a more lore-wise class to add ^^'

A literal Druid will probably not work in ESO, however it can be very easily simulated by adding a nature based class / skill line. There was Shamans, Wyrd, Witches Beast Masters and such like a combination of these things would allow for inspiration for a nature magic class.

I am unsure what skills and abilities were planned for the Warden class (dropped afaik in Alpha), but perhaps that class would or could have come closest to a Druid-like class.

But I would rather see an expansion of current skill trees from 3 to 4 myself. That could allow for more breadth of play per existing class.

If not that, the perhaps a morph of each existing class when they reach level 50. Ex. a Sorcerer could choose the necromancy route or the Nightblade a Ranger with combat pet etc.

More work with latter of course, but if constructed correctly, they could provide a refresh of existing classes and should not be any more labor intensive than adding a 4th skill line.

Being a Druid would obviously allow more than 'throwing leaves' (though if with enough force that could be deadly eh!). Vine-choking; tree root grasping; plant seed projections and gases; summoning of nature spirits and animals (attack with a murder of crows could be interesting); commanding dryads, faeries and spriggins; and the ability to transform into animals and even tree-like warriors (nice natural bark armor anyone?) come to mind, to name just a few.

If I'm a druid, why are all these spriggans, stranglers, lurchers and wolves attacking me all the time?

I know sorcs can summon daedra and still have to fight them, but I think I'd feel way more put out if I was a nature magician and most of nature seemed to hate me.

I would LOVE a Beast Master class.

Jilly Narraway - MagDK DPS - Delves/Dungeons/Dolmans - She murders ALL THE THINGS!
Fynn the Lucky - Warden Tank -- Seer of things/Explorer of places - RP/Solo/Storyline/Completionist

I'd say no to more classes, but instead more skill-lines and removing classes completely. They could make all the skill-lines available to everyone, but limit the usage of passive and active skills only to a maximum of 3 skill-lines.
    My characters (EU PC):
Leopardo Di-Caprio (Khajiit Templar) || Matthew Makehoney (Altmer Sorcerer) || Luck-Luster Burt (Redguard Dragonknight)
Clint Histwood (Argonian Templar) || Martin Uber Ping (Redguard Sorcerer) || Louis Farmstrong (Imperial Nightblade)
    Anthony Hotskins (Altmer Nightblade)

I have always thought it would suit well mixed into a "Warden" esq type class with nature magic. Sort of how the Sorcerer works but with Nature Magic attack tree, Beast Master tree and a support tree

    OP wants to do this:

    lanastick.gif

A Shaman Class, while not gonna happen because 4 classes forever, is reasonable considering we have seen NPC Shamans since forever now, what with their bat attacks and protection totems and all...

Hey, it works for Spriggans... ;)

But agreed, some nature magic would be nifty. One of the reasons why I made my Class Morph Concept a while ago:
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/240186/class-morph-idea/p1
...to add all those "missing options", in a way that does not require people to throw away the characters they spent the last couple years on, but lets them "refit" their existing characters into new and nifty class configurations...
