Please ban the bot!

I have seen the same bot in Wrothgar farming CP for a couple months now. I have taken video and reported them multiple times. The video clearly shows they are a bot. They stand in the exact same spot with two summoned creatures. They repeat the same animation of switching weapons so it has them move and not get booted. Two ogres spawn and they attack. As soon as the ogres are dead it goes back to the same repeated animations. I can't post the video or name for the Name and Shame problem, but is there somewhere I can send the video link that they will actually ban them? It's very frustrating that I have to put in time for CP while they have a program farming it for them.

Except I sent them video showing exactly where it happens, and the same person is there for hours a day.

I just now waited until the ogres spawned, then used resto staff to draw them off. The bot stood in the same spot swinging, not following them at all. Obviously a program.

You have to include faction as Wrothgar is separated by faction . Also they could be in a different phase .

If you are on PC NA, I have taken video of that person too. And reported multiple times. AD faction here

The worst part is the one I saw, if the same, was over 501 at the time I saw/recorded/reported maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago... They have to be max again by now.

One of the times recording they actually came back to screen... Saw me moved back out of ogre range then just paced back and forth waiting for me to leave. Eventually, I just left and /s "have fun with your bot"

I mean how many times can someone be reported for this with nothing getting done?

The sad part is that in the beginning of this game, ZoS was very diligent about eradicating bots/RMT/chat spammers. It was amazing. Players would get a universal pop-up message every once in a while saying "this is GM so-and-so, the bot-killer! Report bots to me", etc. If you reported one, it was dealt with almost immediately. A few months after release, that whole thing just died. Now you can submit endless reports with video proof, and nothing happens. Why did they just stop caring?

Heh, Ackwalan, we used to *train* afk xp'ers back in the day, but most games have either removed the ability to do so, or don't have it to begin with (such as this one).

Someone reported this sorc a while back. Shortly after, the bot disappeared for about a week and I thought that she may have been given a time out. But, as the OP says, she's back and slowly but surely racking up the CP. And alkahest.

Yep, I am AD in PC NA with the character that sees them. If you draw a line between Rkindaleft and the way shrine to the West of it, they are slightly north of the midpoint of that line on a hill fighting two ogres when they spawn. I've seen them go from below cap to 540 CP doing this.

I tried leading other monsters there, but they run back to their starting point. This spot must have been selected for that reason.

I have seen the exact same bot in Wrothgar since Christmas break and have used the /report /help function and it DOES NOTHING.

The bot is still there on occasion and the last I saw it was a few days ago and I STILL REPORTED it using the /report function.

This does no good as the bot still persists.

One department can't forward information to another when it receives it erroneously? Sounds like your company email is as *** as the in-game mail. No forward, no reply. Explains a lot.

I was chatting with a friend on my iPad while I had ESO running last night and watched the bot go through multiple respawns of the two ogres. I had come back to the area at various times and noticed they were standing in the exact same spot for several hours. I've seen this on a lot of occasions. They programmed it to do weapon swaps, open inventory, do random emotes every few seconds so they don't time out. The funniest one was a time they had some emote going when the ogres appeared and they kept doing the emote instead of fighting until that finished its programmed time. I've stood directly in front of them and could get no response out of them. I'll check again tonight.

You're wrong.

Every report channel doesn't answer or view the tickets sent in to it. That's the ZOS way.

Actually, I would move about a bit, grab runestones or zap the nearby polar bears. I'm not worried about it.

If the person programs a bot, they may read the forums and move the bot, although it has been in the same spot for months.

The person that created the bot is an actual cheater. Ban them both.

Botting IS cheating. They get CP without having to put in the time I did, they can auto loot and get mats, etc. I report any cheating that I am sure is cheating and provide video evidence.

You realize that this statement shows why there is such a problem and disconnect in this game, right?

EVERYTHING submitted should be checked by a living person, and then forwarded to the appropriate team, REGARDLESS of the way it was submitted to you!

Early in the game the bots became an epidemic that seriously affected basic gameplay like questing, leveling and harvesting.

One reason I didn't renew my sub back then.

When I returned much later to see how the game was I was very happy to see the bots gone. Haven't seen one myself.

I'd hate to see them back so I share the feelings that the users should be banned asap. I'm just optimistically hoping that any delay is because ZOS wants to study the method used first and then round up all users (these cheats are rarely in one persons exclusive possession) before letting the banhammer fall. No need to alert them cheaters prematurely that they are living on borrowed time.
