Dungeon Finder: Random and people dropping out.

Sallandair
I don't know if this is normal or not because I have only done one dungeon before and that was on my Nightblade ( thanks for the 2 hour wait times ) so I made a Templar and decided to give healing a go, I queue up and sure enough, it did not take long.

Here's the problem though, some *** dropped out as the group was formed, no one had a chance to go to the dungeon and because of this I was kicked from the queue. Fine, whatever; I'll queue up again right?

Nope. "You have queued too recently. You can queue again in 15 minutes"

Why am I being punished for someone else dropping out? Is this seriously a normal "feature" because its horse ***.

If I q for a normal and I am on a toon I want to level, not one of my strong toons, I will drop group if I see ICP or WGT, even reg.

And before you say it isn't fair, I'm saving you a butt load of time. If I am on my weak toon, I wouldn't want to go through an hour and a half regular dungeon. Trust me, even with the fifteen minute q penalty I will still walk away with more xP faster when I re q and get fungal or whichever.

That said, ZoS needs to give the ones who LEAVE GROUP the timer penalty. My decision should not troll others, just me.

Alright, that makes some sense. Thanks for the reply, I can see why even without knowing what those dungeons are.

Still baffling as to why ZoS has a timer for everyone though.

I've queued and entered about 20 dungeons. I've only managed to complete 2. Almost every time I start a dungeon, it isn't a full group. Once or twice, someone joined to make it a full group, but the group will disband part way through and I end up with a time penalty. Someone might get bored of waiting for another group member to teleport in and leaves the group, and I end up with a time penalty. Most of the time we don't even complete the first group of monsters before someone leaves and I end up with a time penalty. Is this normal or is it just because I'm lower level?

Normal it seems. However, the 15 minute wait is ticking down even as you're inside the dungeon. But I've had similar experiences Zensonar.

I will say it has got better as I get higher level and dungeons are now lots of fun. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I assume its because it now puts me in dungeons that are inaccessible to lower levels, therefore inaccessible to whoever those players are who just seem to stumble in there by accident with apparently no idea where they are or what game they are playing. Or maybe I just had a string of bad luck in my early dungeoneering career.
