Question about trading monster pieces.

So, with this new update we now have the option to trade monster set items for a limited time after getting them. Tonight I got a monster helm that I wanted to trade with my boyfriend, but I wanted to check what traits I had on the same helm I had in my bank. I decided to lock the helm I was going to trade with him just so I did not accidentally do anything stupid with it lol. After I unlocked it and went to trade with him, the helm was then showing that it was bound to my account.

So, is this an unintended bug or is this just how the new limited trading works? I did not equip the helm at all, all I did was lock and unlock it.

Seeing as I was pretty irritated that I could not trade the helm he was really wanting, I decided to send a bug report in about this issue and here is what I received in return....

We are not able to restore items that were destroyed or deconstructed.

However, in some cases we are able to restore destroyed Crown Store or Imperial Edition bonus items. If you have destroyed a Crown Store or Imperial Edition item and would like to have it restored, please reply to this email with any additional information on the loss and I will investigate further."

Like... do you guys even actually READ bug reports? Or do you just take turns picking automated responses out of hats?... This is actually the worst response I have ever gotten in reply to an issue from a gaming company.. And there are some seriously crappy gaming companies out there.. So, that should speak some volumes.

Anyway, clearly ZO$ is less than helpful with this issue, so do any of you know if locking is supposed to bind a limited trade item to the account or not?

You have a timer on the item, you can trade it ONLY with the groupmembers of the dungeon run where you have drop it and only for 2 hours

Every tradable item is still BOE so dont use it if you want to trade.

because this is a new feature to the game,they might not have a specific category for it yet.still though,you have to be persistent and keep trying til you get an actual person I guess.

Yes, I know this. The person I was going to trade with was in my group. I got the item out of the gold pledge chest, but he ran that pledge with me. It only started saying that it was "bound" after I locked and unlocked it in my inventory.

My question is simply, is the game supposed to bound these limited time trade items if you choose to lock the item in your inventory like this or is it yet another lovely bug from this last update?

Shoulders are not tradable and since you have dropped from the gold chest i suppose that you wanted to trade shoulders.

As I said above, it was a helm from the gold chest. A Blood Spawn helm, to be exact.

helms don't drop from undaunted chests

Most likely. If you lock it shows you want it. Why would you need to lock it though if you intend to trade it. All it does is prevent you from selling it / trading it and deconning it.
