Crown Store Assistants - Quick Question!

Hello all!

I tried a quick search first on google + the forums...so I apologize if this has been asked before.

BUT,

Are there any limitations to the purchased assistants.
ex. Does the banker allow me to list items to my guild store, and use my guild bank?
ex. Can I purchase some things from the merchant like repair kits, and can I repair my gear at the merchant?

ZOS does an absolutely terrible job with the descriptions for these items. Something that needs to be updated tbh.

Thanks,

- splitsand!

    1) Banker only allows you to access your own bank.
    2) Merchant only allows you to sell.
    3) Anyone in your group (and only your group) can use the banker or merchant as well.

So, what's the point? It doesn't give you access to basic Banker, and Merchant features? LAME. Guess those 5500 crowns I just got will have to wait a little longer to be spent :(

ZOS WHY MAKE A CROWN STORE OPTION FOR 50$ THAT ISN'T FULLY FUNCTIONAL?!?!?!?!

The banker is useful if you have a lot of alt characters and play them all - and if you are ESO+, because then you will have enough room in your bank to manage them all with the banker. If you are neither ESO+ nor have a lot of alts, I would not advice to buy the banker. The merchant has no use to me, because he cannot repair stuff nor does he sell repair kits.

It allows you to empty your bag in real time by
    - selling junk immediatly
    - sparing valuable stuff in your bank

May be quite useful for intensive & heavy looting...

as ESO+ there is no problem with inventory space - and I can just delete junk, it is anyway not worth a lot.

(Craftbags is ok for mats, not for white, green , blue gears...)

That si true, but white gear is for the trash can - green and blue you can use the banker - if you really run out of inventory space - but I doubt this willl happen if you are ESO+ - I find the banker useful, but not the merchant.

The banker is really useful to me - I have 12 characters and use the banker about 25 times when I play with all of them - so yes, the banker is ok and saves quite some time.

At least you checked before wasting the crowns. At launch a lot of people bought them thinking they were fully functional - the way they were marketed.

ZOS could have sold a huge amount of those bankers, if they would have added guild store functionality - the lack of this feature costed them a whole lot of money.

The merchant is a consumer, not a merchant. Merchants by definition buy things as well as selling them. You are the merchant, and the merchant is actually the consumer. You pay 5000 crowns to have a patron "on demand" to purchase from your loot selling business. Its not just semantics to some people... its misrepresentation.

And not required at all - there are traveling merchants on pretty much every road every few hundred yards anyway.

I have merchant I find it quite handy when staying out in the field for ages, I use it to get rid of my junk pile since I only deconstruct green or higher. Merchant in combination with craft bag means I only need a small bag space of around 130 and I can stay out in the field for ages b4 needing to head to a craft station for deconstruction. The down side is you can not use it to repair your gear and you can not purchase things from it which is a bit disappointing but manageable. Very handy to have when grinding I find.

I would buy the merchant immediately if they could do repairs, but thousands of crowns just to sell items? No thanks.

I used my crowns from sub to get merchant next will be banker since I have a dedicated craft toon just for construction this way any toon I am playing in PvE will be able to stay out in the field indefinitely without having to pop into a town to deconstruct. I prefer to spend my crowns on things I can use rather that the rest of the fluff that is in the crown store.

Yeah I read your post above, you have a valid point for the way in which you are playing the game - it is just not for me. My way is team work between my characters - if something is to deconstruct, I can just drop it in the bank with my banker and another character which is at a crafting station can get it from there and deconstruct - there is no need to sell it off, i can just transfer it via the banker to a character in town. And because that other character is in town, he can buy a couple of repair kits and drop them in the bank, and my character in field can pick it up from the banker and good - you see, better than a merchant.
