My character ran after a Bosmer in the first part of the realm of Jode. The Bosmer disappeared through a portal which disappeared as my character approached it. I'm not running any addons. My character is an AD altmer. I've tried logging out for 15 minutes plus several times, and my character has reappeared in various places, and seemingly at different points in the quest (Ayrenn's last stand???), with and without mobs in the area, but the portal has never reappeared.
Please fix/help.

✭If relog doesn't help, then you might try abandoning the quest. Relog after abandon and start it from the beginning.On hiatus. I've considered it, but have been putting it off, because of uncertainty about how to reacquire the quest, and fear that the same thing would happen again. It's on my if-all-else-fails list, though.

Imryll✭✭✭✭✭So I dropped the quest, and the portal to the area with the Silvenar and Green Lady was there this time. Unfortunately, after defending them and participating the the subsequent conversations and actions, there is no portal to return to the temple. The go-though-here symbol is on-screen, but there's nothing I can "use." I've logged out and will see what happens when I relog, but clearly the fail here isn't just a single, unfortunate fluke.0

✭Abandoning quests has worked reliably for me. It is one of the "standard" steps when quests fail. IIRC the quests started by talking to Shazad/Khali outside the temple of the dance at end of her victory run. Abandoning quest will bring her back again there. I would find her and relog just before picking the quest again.
That particular quest sometimes bugged because of other players. Try to do it outside prime time. Having said that, that quest has actually got stuck for me on bosmer scene because of missing npcs, and then got forward after another player appeared.

Imryll✭✭✭✭✭I appreciate all your help @helediron -- and finally completed the quest, although I never did get the post-Silvenar portal back to the temple. The game finally just jumped me to the next scenario.
I started playing ESO in July 2013 (in beta), and this is the first character to make it close to 50. The thought of losing her to a bug had me pretty upset.0
