do blade cloak and thundering presence stack?

2ndcovenant_ESO
Hi folks,

Just a quick question: Does blade cloak and the thundering presence (sorc stamina morph) stack so that both area effect spells do damage at the same time, or does one overwrite the other? I am hoping that they stack, of course. As a stamina sorc, with both active, I tear through small armies. Thundering Presence, on...Blade Cloak, on... Steel Tornado, raging...Hello Dr Death.

    They stack.

Blade Cloak's AoE is weak though imo :|

Blade Cloak and Thundering Presence do stack.

If you're using Cloak for aoe mitigation, it has proven to be very effective and useful in some instances.

As for using it as a part of your dps rotation, in my own experience and those of my friends/guildies, it is neither a dps loss nor a gain. In practice it is simply "there" with an added effect of reduced aoe damage (the opportunity cost of taking the time to fit it into the rotation is a dps loss, but it is gained back with the damage of the skill itself - a wash).

That's good to hear actually. I am using the higher aoe resistance morph because of that. While I am nailing enemies in the thick of battle it means that I can take red zones pretty well although I do try to get out of them if at all possible. Thanks for the info.

oh, right now, my blade cloak does 880 dmg every three seconds. Not great, true, but it's not terrible I guess. I need another area hitter to take it's place I guess.... I am still levelling up (only 34) and have a lot of points in crafting skills (my number of researched traits is pretty dang high other than in metal weapons). Going the crafter route has made me have to be very picky about where to put my skill points for battle.
