Lich set farming

I know it drops from dolmens and I was surprised to get my first item quite randomly while doing a dolmen in one of Cadwell's Silver (or Gold, I don't remember) and it was, surprisingly, a V16 infused chest piece. Which made me wonder, what if I started doing dolmens in a rotation in the last zone of Cadwell's gold? Do I have as many chances to get it as in Cyrodiil?

Took me about 2 weeks doing about 45 mins runs when logged in going to estimate 8 to 10h total to get the full set in last 2 gold zones.
Found it very underwhelming in use to be honest.
Can't compare gold to cyrodill drop/spawn rates though, sorry.

Are you saying that the drop-rate is much higher in Cyrodiil? How greater? As far as spawn rate, they reset quite quickly on last gold zone.
Tbh I am planning on trying it on my sorc, otherwise selling it. They sell quite well atm.

I recieved my first Lich set (Light robes) at a dolem in Eastmarch (AD). Unfortunately it was not at my level. It was 130

I am saying I never bothered farming in cyrodill.
To much distance between dolmens, can't really afk for a bit without expecting death etc.
In gold zones you can just clear the 3 on the map in a nice easy and quick cycle, found it a ahh more casual farm. Though the drop rate in cyrodill may be higher I do not know, you have higher risk and probably can clear 1/2 as many in the same amount of time compared to gold zones. I also was not alone during gold zone
farms making gold zone ones even quicker.

I farmed gold area dolmens1~ 2 hrs a nite for 2 weeks and still only have helmet and robe. I'm also still missing 2 of the generals

Wow, during my runs I got 3 staffs, 2 chests, 2 heads, just took me time to get bracers.
Guess that's rng for you:(
Not sure if I got all generals during that as it wasn't all done on one toon, got to mix up that farm somehow lol.

Farmed desert and bangkorai for hours and got nothing. The spawns are messed up. The dremora pirate is supposed to spawn in the 2nd zone but had it in the 4th?

you can farm Lich set (cp160) in Gold areas now. You could not always do this but now you can. Will be even easier when One Tamriel is here and you can go anywhere to farm it. I think Silver areas are still at cp130 but not sure

As far as I understand, there is only one Litch setup. So everyone wearing it have identical layouts. It goes something like this.

-Head - Divines.
-Shoulders - infused.
-Chest - infused.
-Arms - Divines.
-Resto staff - Charged.

The Litch boss drops the helm, chest and maybe the shoulders. The Seductive Sisters drop the Resto and the arms I think. Something like that anyway.

This is what I found when farming mine. We ended up with about 6 full sets, all identical.

Not true.

Lich is also one of the only "4-piece" sets. Clever Alchemist is another. Not technically, but in use you simply switch bars to proc the effect then go back to your main bar.

If you run a build reliant on reduced magicka cost over magivka regeneration, the extra 1K regen is absolutely huge. The effectiveness is determined by your cost reduction (naturally high in Light Armor).

The Bracers are infused, too, not divines. But yes, it's just the one set of traits.

o.O lich items are worth more than that, I sold a staff for 400k in a main city trader in under 10 mins. 150 to 200k for the rest and it sells within a few hours. These are sold as dropped meaning blue quality.

Not sure you know what's up. In cyrodiil Lich enables You to run a full weapon dmg enchants or 2 WD and a reduce cost if you got magika issues. Pop a mana potion and watch your bar fill, basically reseting the fight.

Why did they not put divines on small/infused on large pieces? Whoever designs this stuff really should be a theorycrafter for builds before a designer.

Yeah, the traits I listed were just off the top of my head, but I was kinda close haha.

I get about 4k recovery when mine procs. I only start out at 1,500. (That's with CP and drinking a potion)

If you want the General Achievement you can increase your odds by going to your own faction zones. If you go to the achievement list of Generals the first three spawn in your first zone next three next zone ect. So for a DC character the first three Generals will be the only Generals that spawn in Glenumbra. Doing it this way increases your odds of getting the General you are missing @kylewwefan

In Silver, Gold and Cyrodiil you get a random General from the entire list.

There's no way. when my lich procs I have around 3600 magicka recovery. And I only start with 1400. Lich is even better because I can stack all spell damage and magicka and basically forget recovery. Seducer is like the poor man's lich

I was encouraged when I got my Lich robe from a random Cadwell gold dolmen. About 9 dolmen's later I got the hat... about 30 dolmens later I got another robe. Now, countess dolmens done... still only have the robe & hat. RNG why do you hate me so!?!?

Lich hat is cool! :P There is something kinda peaceful & satisfying about solo'ing dolmens too. Though it annoys me when you get some of the tougher generals but the drop isn't even a set piece... just a decon piece of blue junk.

This thread is encouraging though to hear that some players have got the complete set! I will keep at it

Spent 4 hours today farming dolmens in my gold zones and didn't see a single piece drop.

RNG loves you, how can you complain with them crazy high drop rates. Wait till it takes 100+ just to see a general.

No, it's not. Seducer has the advantage of being craftable in different weights and traits and pieces, and it's a great set. But the sheer regen from Lich is far superior.

Maybe it is different in consoles but I play ps4 and the way it works is the first zone is skipped and spawns no generals. All other zones spawn 4, in the order listed in the achievement progressively through each zone.
