A bit dissapointed with my appearance change, time limit to test after suggestion?

After a bit of messing around with the character change settings, I ended up making my character taller than altmers accidently and so I spent 1k there, so I corrected it and spent anoth 1k for my mistake and relized my chest is to wide, now I am planning to spend 3k on an appearance change because of my mistakes I made and 
.
What determines how wide your toso is? it looks oddly dispporportional to the rest of my body

Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis0 -

✭✭Is there a "torso" slider? Chest and shoulders would be a good place to start.
Sounds like you need to spend more time in the editor or less time worrying about it in game in the first place.Kena

✭I've heard this mentioned before. It would be nice if tokens worked with a time frame. In other words, you can change your appearance as many times in the span of a few hours. That way, you can test it in different environments in the game.8 -

I really wish I had a time limit so I could see how good it looks so I didn't have to waste 2k crowns like that, what are zos policies on refunds or maybe policies on giving me a break and offering me a free appearance change?0 -

- Make desired character there, using FRAPS or other to screenshot sliders.
- Test/delete as needed, keeping screenshots of final version.
- Duplicate sliders on Live server
- Profit!

WacArnold✭✭✭I agree, yes, you can get a good look in the creator but its nice to get out and get a size comparison in the world. Especially since there is really no reference point in creator, so your size is kind of a guess. In creator your character may look fine, when you get out into the world you notice your character is huge compared to npcs or other characters or vice versa.
When I create a character I create a test dummy first, make a character, record where all my size bars are then start the game and see how I like it. If I like it, I remake on my real character, if not its back to the drawing board. But I have room for extra characters and some may not so this only works for some.

✭Though I do not necessarily agree with the way in which character appearance changes have been implemented... reading all of these posts makes me wonder at the lack of observation in others. From the start there have been some major discrepancies in character appearance via creation screen vrs in game world. You get three (immediate) tries to get your appearance right the first time: create character, log in and run around a bit to really see your character, rinse and repeat if not satisfied. If people haven't figured this out or are in too much of a hurry to care at at the time (which I've read a lot), then should they really be complaining about ZoS making extra cash at their expense?0 -

Well, do you have any open character slots?
Just make a new character there instead of the PTS. You can delete it when you're done. It is just to screenshot the sliders with your phone or something. Test it out in game since it is a throw-away (helpful for testing the voice in combat also).
When you are satisfied use the slider positions from your screenshots (zoom in and drag over each at full resolution if using a phone) to duplicate their position on the re-customization character.
Delete the throw-away character. Profit?0 -

✭✭✭✭Something you might want to pay attention to, is what you got what you set it for?
For example i did a race change set everything done, looks good. Next time i log in, my face is all jacked up. Messed up enough i can look at it and instantly know that is not what i set it for.
So it may be worth screen capping your finished remodel before you enter the world and if it changes open a ticket and ask for another remodel or token.
I dont know if this is what happened to you, but if the face can change i would assume the body could as well.0 -
