Just started this mmo game 3 days ago. Very different from others I've been used to.
First, My inventory is full. I'm level 6 on some island, and cannot find a place to unload my vendor trash.
Where do I go to dump this stuff to clear my inventory?
Also, have no idea where to buy any armour, weapons, etc. Is there a place for low-level characters to go to?
No clues here, any help a all would be greatly appreciated.

Best I can tell it is a place called Khennarthai's Roost.
But I'm not positive as that is the login character screen and don't know if that is the name of the island or not.

Should be icons on the map showing where the vendors are. there is also a banker to store stuff between characters.

If you look at the map you can see the location of (for example) clothing stations, merchants or banks. If there is anything you don't plan on using you can deconstruct it to improve your crafting skill or sell it to any merchant. Anything else can be stored in the bank. Also at some places you can upgrade your bag space. I really recommend crafting your armor instead of buying it if you need to at all since you'll most likely be fine with armor and weapons you get from quests.

@crisismode If you are on Kenarthi's Roost and on a PC, I can and will be happy to help you. If you are, look me up in the game @Wolfenbelle, US Eastern time zone. But just in case you can't connect with me in the game, here is a link to a Kenarthi's Roost map: http://dulfy.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/eso-discover-khenarthis-locales-achievement.jpg

See the little castle-like symbol in the upper middle of the map? That is a town. Head there and you will find guild traders, some vendors, etc. Also, the symbol next to the little castle-like one is a wayshrine. You should be able to use it to go to Vulkhel Guard, one of the two main cities in Auridon, which is the first large zone you will clear through as you progress. Vulkhel Guard has everything you need to get started selling, buying, crafting, banking, leveling your mount, and so on.

OP there is a minor "city" mistral to the far north on the island you're on. Is a banker there. Vendors etc.

You map is the most reliable tool for finding vendors, but also note that some NPCs will have a profession (like "Enchanter") listed under their name which indicates you can buy and sell thing to them. Don't be misled! You can sell ANYTHING to ANY vendor. The only restrictions is what you can buy from them.

As for acquiring weapons though, I recommend crafting them. In fact, don't sell your weapons and armor. Rather, deconstruct them and craft them into the weapons you want. You can do this at the appropriate crafting stations. Also marked on your map. Good luck, and welcome to ESO!

With regards to armour weapons and crafting, you're probably better off just using dropped loot, while you're still low-level. Once you've got a handle on the crafting side you can then start making your own - but the caveat is, what's dropped is probably going to have better stats, until you have done plenty of research. Unless, of course, you know someone who can make you a gear set, AND provide the mats for free...

This is a good resource on how crafting works:
    http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Crafting

Also, you can buy pack and bank storage upgrades (ten slots at a time), though they gradually get more expensive. Best advice (if you don't have ESO Plus) is that as soon as you can afford a mount, you should buy one - and then once a day visit the Stables to upgrade your mount's pack capacity by one slot (up to 60).

Once you know how to manage your inventory better, start collecting wood, ore, alchemy, rune and ingredients. Every dungeon has barrels and crates with ingredients inside, and deconstructing unwanted armour etc will give resources back (so long as the item you're deconstructing has a gold value. If it's zero, you get nothing). Pick up everything. If it indicates you're about to steal something, crouch to make sure you're hidden, and take it. You can then sell or launder these items at Outlaw Refuges (one in every major city). Which will help accumulate gold.

    Hope that helps :)

This should help you find your way around Khenarthi's Roost:

This should help you identify all the different icons that you may see on the map:

Note that the major towns in each zone have their own map, and you can click on these towns to zoom in to the local map, where you will find the locations of all the services. For a breakdown of all available in-game vendors and services, see:

Go to the nearest wayshrine and warp back to Ebonheart and sell to any merchant, clothier, chef, weapon or armorsmith there. They'll all take your loots. You can then wayshrine back to the wayshrine near your previous location and continue on with your quests and shenanigans.. then press repeat when you need to offload your inventory. Look for trader guild stores same area in Ebonheart where you can purchase armor, weapon and gear if they have some that fits your level, and you have the gold. Although, you're better off finding and looting drops for weapon, armor and gear, at your level. You can also get an invite to join a guild(s) that do crafting for guildmates, and you can ask them to help you out with crafting up stuff for you, per your level.
