Besides simply having it work...

ZOS has put a lot of developer time and effort into making trials that many people will never see. How about adding an option to the grouping tool for random/specific trials? Completing a random trial can award something good, but not ridiculously OP: a mount, a motif page, a bunch of crafting mats... something like that. What do you guys think of this idea?

    Love it! I want to do trials but no one in Zone is ever grouping for it. It's always for gold silver or random.

    I would like to have this change:
    no more random group tool,it never worked elsewhere. Esp. in ESO it is useless - you can choose, which role you will play, why would you need to set it up for a tool? the tool has to do a lot of searching then,which requires: 1. more of time, 2. can cause lags. In some multiplayers I played you never needed a role - it was a random group and still it was problematic - with 2nd option for search for roles? I just cannot imagine how it could work well. I just don't think an authomatic tool is a good idea for this.

    Please, let us make a simple advertisement - it worked very well in Guild Wars 2 - a table with names of dungeons/trials in the game, if you clicked on the chosen trial/dungeon, list of names of leaders, who are searching for someone appeared with a note, who they want, what kind of run they going to do and anything else important for them.

    No waiting times, no lags because of server is searching through something, you knew, what kind of group you are going to join and what you could expect. And of course, the leader could set up any level of that chosen dungeon, he wanted.

    Please, do the same, this is just pain. And anyway I enjoyed a lot of fun doing a dungeon with non standard groups (like all dps, or healers).

    EDIT:
    there was also an indicator of how full the group is already, and it disappeared, after they entered the dungeon I think - so it wouldn't be full of groups. you just clicked on the name and choosed to join. It looks like a lot of groups, but it went really fast, so it was appearing and disappearing all the time - never more than around like 8 group per a dungeon/trial.

    Some of folks don't mind doing random dungeons so it wouldn't be fair to them to get rid of it. However, it wouldn't hurt if they added the ability to list your group and what your looking for. Nor Wouldn't hurt to have a specific/random trials available. Or Craglorn. Anybody remember Craglorn? Oh and maybe add Dragon Star Arena to the dungeon queue too!

    Of course, I'll be happy just to have it working reliably. That would certainly be a step in the right direction. :D

    I would love to see a Group Finder tool for trials, mind you, only if they were full the proper versions and not how WoW do it with a watered-down version.

    This needs to be a thing, I'm not in any raiding guilds (but I am looking) and I would love to see the content before it is too old and forgotten.

    I feel this is a needed change to the current tools in the game. It is clear that ZOS still wants people in trials. They keep revamping the old ones, updating loot and such, all in an effort to get more people in the door. The sad truth is, only a very, VERY small percentage of players will ever see the inside of a trial, ANY trial, because the bigger the group, the easier it is for it to fall apart before it even starts!

    When I played WOW, I never did a raid until they added it to the group finger mechanic. Sadly, the same situation plagues me in ESO. My guilds don't have enough high-level man power in the right spread to pull off trials, so I can never do one. I feel that if there were an option to do even a "light trial" with nothing but green loot, it would still be worth while. At least I could start beating on the achievements!! And green loot can still be traded to other trial members and tempered up for improvement into top-tier.

    Are you listening ZOS? This is an area of gameplay where most other MMO's already have something in place, but it is missing here. I think the grouping tool needs some serious love.

    Yeah I actually only found out trials existed a few weeks ago.. It would be great to have an easier way to find a group to do them.

    I figured, if players in all three factions can group up together for Trials, why can't they do the same for the Undaunted Dungeons? I feel like with the larger pool of queuing players, it would take less time for groups to be formed.

    I have given up trying to do any group content this weekend, I literally can not play this piece of crap game anymore.

    Nothing but bugs, issues and taking hours to get groups for content....

    It's pile of crap now. Sick of wasting hours on it with ZOS thinking it is completely acceptable to act like it's still 1999...

    It needs to be in some other form tho.

    Not click and wait....see that's the issue overall.
    If you really want to revamp a broken system, you need to change the experience and the idea of how to find others.

    Imagine that when you play, we are asked our role, and what experiences I'd like to have per character.
    Then within this, the times of day that I'd be willing to do specific dungeons, trials etc.

    Example:
    Player types: strict roles, lenient roles
    Role(s): healer, tank dps
    Time: 30 min, 1 Hr, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, etc.
    experience: Speed run, full clear, exp, loot
    Dungeons: check off those you willing to do
    Trial: check off those you're willing to do
    Zones questing: List of zones
    Public dungeons: list...
    Delve grinding



    Now while playing, the new system would suggest opportunities as a notification that goes away 30 mins to 1 hour.
    -would you like to do a dungeon as X role?
    -would you like to do a trial as X role?




    When there's an need, the pop-up would ask if you'd like to join X dungeon or X trial while you play and you select yes or no.
    It continues to make these suggestions based on other players willing to play and their availability.
    This way groups are matched better and not reliant on a queu but accessibility because the problem with the current que is that it only puts together limited selections

    @ArchMikem You can make a cross faction groups to do pledges and dungeons. :) The group finder will also put you in cross faction groups for dungeons (when it's working)

    I only found out they existed when I accidentally entered one solo. Wondered what the icon was on the map so went in for a look. That was a lesson learnt :)
